---A/N---- this is a rough draft, I need 100 Votes from you guys to see if it'll even be popular enough to spend time on.

My eyes flicker open as intense pain shoots through my body. What's happening?! I slowly, painfully, turn my head to the left, and there, attached to a bunch of machines, is a sleeping snow leopard.

Her fur glittered in the dim light, giving her an angelic look. Just then, a noise to my right, and a man looms over me.

"Lights out human." and the world goes black again. I find refuge in the back of my mind. It's where i usually go when the world becomes overwhelming. I found my inner peace. My sanctuary. Little mental butterflies of sweet memories floated around in a tiny little meadow, their fragile wings glancing up and down... up and down... just then, one of them lands on my hand. The memory it stored flashed in my eyes.

"Oh, this is the time my mom and I went to the zoo when I was seven!" a giggle escapes me as I watched my little self place my hand on the thin piece of glass separating me and a little, playful, river otter. Suddenly the memory shifts, and my tiny self is lost. "I... I don't remember this part...?" little me was crying. My little hands covering my eyes.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a little animal approached me. I couldn't make out what it was, but my child-self did, and her eyes widened to the size of saucers. The animal was small, light grey in color, and very clumsy. Little me cautiously reached out my chubby hands, and scooped it up. Only then did my current self realize what it was.

A baby snow leopard.

The memory dissipates, and I am again standing in the meadow again. What? Maybe that snow leopard... was that the same cat who was next to me? I need to see her again... I force myself awake, but keep my eyes closed.

The pain returns, only about ten times stronger than the last time. My head is leaning to the left, which was the direction of the big cat. Slowly, I open my eyes, only to find the cat gone. Wha- my thoughts are instantly interrupted by the same man from the first time. His evil laugh echoes through the small space that we occupied.

"It's almost done... you are doing well, test subject number 4427," he grabs my face and turns it to face him. A tingling sensation starts to creep up my cheeks, and the man's eyes grow large. "It's time."

Red lights start flashing, triggered by a button on a short podium. Suddenly, four massive men came in, and each of them held down one of my limbs. Fear streaks through my veins as an unavoidable muscle spasm rakes my body. I lose control of my limbs. All four men hold me down, but my strength grew.

"Quick! Get her into the cell!" the biggest of the four scooped me up and carried me about ten feet into a small room that consisted of a bed, and a bucket. I'm thrown on the bed, and i hear the door shut behind me. Pain shoots through my legs up to my chest. My body shifts in unnatural ways, and my bones crack. A scream tears through my lips as my back extends into a long, currently naked, tail. Noises i have never heard before were produced from my throat. I feel my nose and mouth shift shape, and my ears travel up my face.

Laughter sounds from outside the cell. Anger mingles with my pain, and i lunge at the door. A growl mixes with my voice. "What have you done to me?!" My breathing becomes labored. Dark spots blot out my vision, and i stagger. As the cold concrete meets my head, i see the doctor... and he is holding a video camera. I manage to catch a glimpse of my hands before the world goes black, and i see paws.

---twelve hours earlier---

"Why the hell do we even need to learn this crap?!" I huff, throwing my pencil at my Trigonometry Book. "It doesn't even make any sense!"

The petite boy named Kelby sitting next to me laughs. "Of course it doesn't, Rachel! That's because you have a very tiny brain!" he show's how 'tiny' my brain is by using his fingers, causing me to scoff and punch his shoulder hard. "Ow!!!" he frowns at me, rubbing his arm tenderly.

"That's what you get for insulting me!" I retort loudly. I swear, he can be such a baby. The bell rings, signaling the end of class. "Finally!" i slam my book closed and rush out of the classroom, straight to the restroom.

Sweet relief! I've been holding it since I got up! After washing my hands, i retreat from the bathroom.
