The Eyes

Though the eyes are wide
They still cannot hide
The pain and tears
For the years to come
Embrace yourself for the worst,
Is yet to come
Though you are a pupil
You've overcome many deeds on your own
Through the wind and the rain
The troublesome times and years of pain
Your eyes have grown wide
To simply hide the pain inside
Screaming and scratching
The walls meant to protect the inside
Though the eyes are wide
Your destiny is something not to deny
What could would we be
If our destinies are just to die
In a world where the eyes are not wide
