Chapter 1 - A Hogwarts Welcome

I ran through the barrier clutching my trolley with fear, to see if I crash into the wall. I close my eyes and wait for a crash, but I heard nothing. I opened my eyes to find myself on platform 9 3/4! I am so excited, also because I am a muggle born I am nervous about how I'll be treated.
"Bye, sweetie!" Cooed my mum.
"Yeah!" Said my dad "knock em' dead! Show them what Muggleborns can do!"
"Thanks mum, dad!" I gave them a hug and kiss and I boarded the train.

The train started to move as I waved frantically through the window to my parents.
"Bye!" I yelled over the other kids. I walked down the train scanning the train for a space in a compartment. All of them were practically full except for one with two brunet boys and two red head girls.
"Excuse me, can I sit here everywhere else is full?" I asked.
"Sure! Come on in!" Said one red head girl and she smiled warmly.
I sat down and flicked my brown hair out of my face and turn to face the four of them.
"I'm Anna! Anna Thompson!"
"I'm Ros-" started the red head girl but was cut off by one of the boys who seemed to look a bit older then the other one.
"She's Rose" he said carelessly " that's Albus my brother, and that's Dominique my cousin" he said pointing at each of them. " And I'm James Potter" he said boldly.
"Ok, well its nice meeting you all so your all related?" I asked. James seemed to be a bit disappointed of my reaction and tried again.
"Yes well my last name is Potter, Rose's is Granger-Weasley and Dominique's is Weasley!" He said.
"Cool" I said turning to Dominique who had just commented on my looks.
"Are you part Veela?" She had asked " Cause your really pretty"
I blushed and looked down and practically whispered,
"No sorry.. I'm muggle born"
"Oh" said Rose " That's cool! My mother is muggle born!"
Albus who had barley talked at all said.,
"Its been nice meeting you Anna"
"Thanks! I was just worried that because I'm muggle born no one will want to be friends with me.." I said.
Dominique and Rose put their arms around me and said" We are your friends!" We all dissolved into giggles and talked until, another red head boy called Fred announced,
"We are here!"
"Wow" I whispered. "It's beautiful!" I am finally here, at Hogwarts!
