Jhoana felt like the air was sucking out of her lungs. Her chest tightens, breaths running short, hands shaking as she saw the caller ID showing in her phone screen.

My Beatriz calling...

Should she answer the call? Her whole being says yes, yet a part of her says no. Also, wouldn't that be rude to Ged, who's currently with her at the moment?

And so she ignored the call.

She turned her attention to her companion. "I have to admit, this Chinese place is good."

Ged looked at her as if she said something out of the ordinary. "I thought you hate Chinese food?"

Jho shook her head lightly. "I never liked Chinese food, but I feel like this place is different from the others I went to."

The young man beamed. "I told you I pick the best places in the world."

Bea's embrace is actually my favorite place. She thought, then she blinked twice. She shouldn't think of her at this time...she can't. Not now. But her phone wouldn't stop ringing throughout the duration of their dinner.

Even Ged seem bothered by the constant vibration of the phone. "I think you should answer that."

Jho felt her cheeks burning in embarrassment. Why can't Bea leave her alone for a while? Even if it's already 15 missed calls, she won't let her ruin this night. "It's nothing. Let's get back to dinner, shall we?" She said with a wry smile.

In one swift motion, Jho pressed the power button of her phone until she saw the screen turn black. That should do it, she convinced herself, despite the heavy feeling that weighed on her heart as she continuously ignored those calls.

May the Lord guide her to the right way, because she isn't happy with what she did yet at the same time, she's relieved, thinking no one would nag her for now. To be honest, she's confused as hell. She didn't crave Bea that much before, and she realized being with her felt like she's suffocating from an invisible force. The only way to rid of that feeling would be hanging out with someone else...meaning going out with Ged often.

But there's a problem.

Every time she went out with the guy, she couldn't help but to think of Bea. When they eat ice cream, go on late night adventures, satisfying sudden cravings...all of those, she made memories with her.

The feeling in her heart became heavier than before, so she finally turned on her phone again while she stood up from her seat. "I'm sorry, but I have to take this call."

Ged is a good guy, so he motioned her to do her own thing and went back to his food. Jho quickly stepped outside of the restaurant and nervously dialed Bea's phone number. When the other line rang, she couldn't help but to feel bad for not answering her call. Is this what Bea felt most of the time?

Then she finally answered. Jho sucked in a breath as she heard Bea let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank God, Jho! I called you a dozen times and you weren't answering."

I know, I watched the phone ring. "I'm sorry I didn't answer right away. I'm a little bit busy tonight." She told her. Well, she is busy spending her time with Ged.

She heard Bea laughed softly on the other line. It made her heart skip, and then be replaced with guilt. How can she do this to Bea, who did nothing but be concerned of her safety? "How's the Chinese place? Did your perception of Chinese food changed?"

"Slight." It was short response but it's enough for Bea to be satisfied with it.

Sometimes, Jho hates being in love with a simpleton like her.
