Chapter 5

"Piper? Are you awake?"

I opened my eyes and saw Jack J and Matthew hovering over me. I was laying in my bed and I looked over to my side and saw Cameron's bed already made and neat.

"You worried us." Jack sat down next to me.

"What exactly happened?" I looked at the puzzled faces that stood before me.

"Well you said you got a memory or something and then you went to bed." Matthew also sat down and took my hand in his. "You seemed pretty startled."

"Oh yeah the memory." I responded.

"So can you tell us what it was?" Jack asked impatiently.

"Well it was with Cameron." I begun. "We were in a hot tub at his house. He wanted me to do-" I paused pondering about wether I should say it or not. "Things with him, and when I said no he got really angry."

I looked up expecting the boys to be ashamed in me for being such a wimp.

"Cameron? No way." Matthew said.

"Maybe I was just imagining it."

"Probably." Jack winked his eye at me. "You're probably just having a side effect or something from losing your memory."

I nodded along like I knew what he meant.

"Okay well I'm gonna go grab lunch. Want anything?" Matt got up and released his grip from my hand.

"Could you please get me some mac and cheese?"

"It would be my honor." Matt joked. He smiled at me and then left the room.

"What was all that about?" I questioned Jack.

"You're kidding right?"

"No?"

"Do you really want an overprotective Matthew worrying about you 24/7?" Jack stared at me like this was simple two times one math.

"I guess that makes sense."

"So Cameron." Jack gave me his 'I'm serious' look.

"I don't know what's going on. You said that we were dating, but why would I date someone who pressured me into doing things?"

"Because he's Cameron." Jack looked away from me and at the wall.

"Is there something here I'm missing?" I asked.

"Cameron always steals away Matthews girlfriends." Jack got up and sat on the chair by the desk.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean whenever Matt gets himself a girl, Cam comes up and somehow manages to steal her from him."

"But, I'm not dating Matthew."

"Yeah but the fact that you guys have something really pisses Cam off. We can all see it." Jack wasn't his fun cheery self anymore, he was serious and looked worried.

"So should I talk to Cameron and sort things out?"

"No that will just make things worst." Jack paused and thought about what he was about to say. "I don't want Cameron to get in the way of you and Matt."

"Okay."

"Just act like nothing happened and we'll take it day by day." Jack got up and started walking towards the door.

"Wait." I jumped up and ran at Jack so I could catch him before he left. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. "Thank you so much for looking after me. You're an amazing friend."
