It all happened so suddenly.

Caspar's life had been perfect, more like a dream come true. He had a beautiful girlfriend, amazing fans, was unbelievably successful, and - the best part - was lucky enough to have been living with his best friend and fellow YouTuber, Joe Sugg, whom he was very effusive that he chanced to meet.

But there was...something. It's not that it wasn't good. It was better than Caspar thought he could cope with sometimes, constantly finding himself in the spotlight, beginning friendships with people from all across the globe, being spotted by fans while walking in the middle of the street, interviewing celebrities he had never imagined that he'd get a chance to even meet in person, all of which just made him realize how huge his channel had gotten and it didn't seem to slow down anytime soon. So yeah, it was good. It was incredible. But there was - something. Not something missing, or even something wrong, just - something Caspar couldn't put his finger on.

It all fell into place on the night he stumbled upon a realization that could either completely shatter or create his life all over again. It could wreck his friendships, his relationships, his - everything. But it could also fill the void in his life, the one empty space that was there that he never noticed before that night. It could make him finally feel whole again. If only everything panned out as he imagined it would.

Josh, Oli, Jack, Conor, Grant, Mikey, Joe and Caspar, all had planned a lads holiday at a local resort, the last attempt to a calm and peaceful vacation before their individual jobs and contracts forced them away from each other.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.

The vacation ended for Caspar before it even had the chance to begin. But who knew the unforeseen ending of what was supposed to be an amazing time out would actually end up being the beginning of something that Caspar was not in the slightest bit prepared to dive into but he oh-so-badly wanted to.

~A day before the vacation~

"Joe, you okay?" Caspar asked, nudging Joe's shoulder with his to get his attention.

It was six o'clock in the evening and they had just finished packing their respective suitcases (only because Joe had insisted they do it early). They were lounging on the couch in their living room, watching television together. It was just like they hung out any other day, except it really wasn't. One of the two things out of the ordinary that bothered Caspar was that Joe was quiet, maybe a little too quiet for his liking. One would think that Caspar would've gotten used to it by now, Joe wasn't really what you call a 'talkative person' by nature, but Caspar wasn't having it. Joe usually tended to get lost in his thoughts which mostly resulted in creative video ideas and such and Caspar knew better than to disturb him when he did. But somehow, this time, it was different.
