Tape man origins

My name is tape man I was born and raised in a glue and tape factory. My parents were CEOs of the factory where they fell into a vat of glue during an inventory check. I took over the company at the age of 18. I was experimenting with tape that could withstand 20 tons of weight, but the mixture was highly unstable and radioactive. So of course there was an accident that I can't remember that caused me to get amazing powers. I gained the power of both tape and glue. My reflexes were enhanced 20 fold, I could now lift 15 tons, and I can shoot tape vines out of my wrists which I use to swing through New York. In addition to all of that I have my tape sense that tells me both if I am in danger or if someone is misusing the awesome powers of tape.i have decided to use my new found power to fight crime while I manage the factory to produce stronger adhesives.
  As I do my daily rounds of  swinging vine to vine through New York I see an aqua agent(Aqua is basically Hitler's crime syndicate led by by blue skull). The scoundrels are stealing artifacts from the tape museum. As I swing towards the evil doers they start to drive away, to fast for me to catch up to and eventually I lose track of them so I double back to the museum to see what was stolen but there was only one thing missing. A broken tape destabilizer, an object able to disrupt the bonds in tape and adhesive to make them useless. The machine has been damaged but if they worked at it they could repair it. I can't let them repair it or it would be the end of tape and adhesive as we know it.
