Ode to the Dreamers
Ode to the dreamers, of thoughts untold,
No matter how creatively original, and old,
Ode to the dreamers, that sit and wait
For a goal to come late,
Ode to the dreamers waiting on the thunder clouds clapping,
Watching the rain rain down over the grumbling ground,
Thinking of new ways to stay,
In the clouds, the sun shining bright
Thrusting ideas from the coming light,
Ode to the dreamers that watch from the backs,
Of the rooms where knowledge lacks,
Ode to the dreamers no matter how small,
Because one day their dream will show them all,
I Love Teddy Bears
I Love Teddy Bears,
They are always there when you are all alone,
Teddy Bears have no feeling or bone,
Whether it’s tough love,
Or being as gentle as a dove,
Teddy Bears are there when you need a hug,
Or when your hot chocolate is gone, and you stare in the mug,
Glancing away you say,
I love my teddy bear.
Music
I love music,
No matter how tough the lick,
Music is my life and soul,
It makes me feel so whole,
Anything from accented staccato,
To smooth legato,
Playing the piano or saxophone,
Even if I’m all alone,
Music is so much fun,
Especially when you are done,
With a song,
Even if it is short or long,
Some people have nice tone,
While others have one that they need to hone,
I enjoy almost every note,
Even if it’s one I wrote,
Writing my own improvisation,
For a part of a song or translation,
Some music is sharp and rigid,
While other is very fluid,
From classical,
To romantic vocal,
The Renaissance era of rebirth,
And the modern era on earth,
Music is can be long and true,
Or just as relaxing as notes strung a few
It doesn’t matter the noise or din,
Or if the music is “in”
What matters is the voice inside,
Don’t let your voice hide,
It changes the beat,
That is always neat,
Keep
The beat going to make something Deep.
Ode to Batman
Ode to Batman our watchful protector,
Our invisible specter,
He stops crime in the night,
And is always out of sight,
Ode to Batman who fights until light,
Then he departs into flight,
We call him an outlaw or fugitive,
But in reality he is our detective,
Ode to Batman who lurks in Gothem’s shadow,
Even though he is our true hero,
Batman fights injustice,
Because we all know Gothem is far from crimeless,
Ode to Batman who will be broken,
Not just by the Penguin,
He knows no bounds,
His determination and strength only astounds,
Ode to Batman the disruptor of cross fire,
Ode to Batman who strikes like a gyre,
Ode to the hero with no limits,
Who takes advantage of all gambits,
Ode to Batman bane of evil,
Some see him as a knight,
Few are lucky enough to see him take flight,
Finding crime,
In the slime.
Ode to Justice
Ode to Justice the worlds jury,
Justice itself is in no hurry,
Some serve a year, to pay their sentence,
Then they return to the courts for repentance,
Guilty or Innocent,
What ever the verdict it creates a dent
In the accused reputation,
All accused want emancipation,
Whom ever may preside, over the court helps decide
The fate of the cowardly convict,
Decides if the justice will mean jail,
In the end the case is over,
From mistrial,
To perjury,
One defends,
The other accuses,
There is no way to predict how or what each side uses,
In the end someone is paid,
While unusually it means another is forced to decay.
