Jungkook seemed to stiffen for a moment before his grip around me tightened.
"Hi mother." He mumbled as the sound of stiletto heels against the white, marble floor became louder.
I cleared my throat awkwardly as a beautiful woman entered the kitchen, her eyes widening at the sight of us enwrapped together.
She was very slim and her face had sharp features. My stomach twisted out of jealousy for her endless, smooth legs that sprouted underneath a classic Burberry trench-coat. Her jet black hair was cut in a accurate bob which only accentuated her sharp jaw line more. It was obvious Jungkook inherited her eyes as hers had the same, slightly round shape.
"Jungkook." She breathed. "Who is this young lady?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. I could only imagine what she was thinking, walking in on her son - half naked - with a strange girl wrapped in his arms. However, he didn't loosen his grip as I tried to wriggle myself free.
"Oh I'm fine, thanks mom. How are you?" Jungkook hissed as he rolled his eyes.
"Jungkook." She lowered her voice, shooting him a threatening look.
"This is Gabrielle, my girlfriend." He lowered his voice as well, finally letting his arms fall off my frame.
I quickly stumbled forward to stretch my hand out. I swallowed harshly as his mom didn't return the gesture, narrowing her eyes at my shaking hand instead before slowly averting her eyes to my face.
"Since when do you have a girlfriend?" She asked Jungkook without losing her piercing gaze on me.
Jungkook snorted as I slowly lowered my hand. "For ages, but it's not like you should know."
Her eyes finally left me as they snapped to Jungkook. "Watch your mouth, Jungkook! Didn't you think you should've asked me if it was okay to bring said girlfriend home?"
Jungkook scoffed loudly as he rolled his eyes again. "As if you'd care." He shrugged. "I'm surprised you're even home. How long are you staying this time, 14 hours and counting?"
His mom started to become more red by the second as she pointed her index finger at Jungkook in a threatening manner. "How dare you, you spoiled brat! Your dad and I are working hard to provide your luxury live, and all you can give me is disrespect?!"
They stared at each other for a while in a piercing silence, chests heaving as they caught their breaths.
The silence was finally broken through as Jungkook scraped his stool against the floor to get up.
"Goodnight, mother." Jungkook spat at her before grabbing my hand, pulling me with him out of the room.
-
I held my breath as I walked into the all too familiar, cold and isolated room. To my relief it seemed empty, allowing me to do what I came for.
However, I wasn't entirely sure why I had come here again. It was one of the places on earth I hated the most, after all.
"There you are, we were expecting you." A dark voice spoke behind me, making me stiffen from fear.
I tried to speak but failed to make a sound as the person behind me came closer, sending chills along my back.
"What took you so long?"
The voice was terribly near now, but still I couldn't move.
"Gabrielle! Hello?"
A faint, soft voice shouted in the distance. I wanted to answer it and get out of here, but I couldn't. I was stuck and couldn't move, nor speak.
"Gabrielle!"
