Insanity

I am behind you, but you don't see me,

I am next to you, but you don't know I'm there,

I am in front of you, but you don't know my madness,

I am in you, getting stronger every day.

You hate me, but never know me,

I break you, without thought or touch,

Just one good spark, and my fire will burn in you,

Consuming you, you will fight to stay alive.

You can't breathe, unless through pain,

My voice will scream in your mind,

Searing white hot everywhere, full of my agony,

I'll take over everything you hold dear.

You won't get away from my grasp,

I'll bring you to knees,

And force you down, pulling you into my abyss,

Where all there ever is and will be is pain.

When the dawn breaks, you'll know me,

When the night falls, I'll haunt your dreams,

I am a shadow of the past, a monster of the present, and a fear of the future,

I walk throughout time, spreading my venom.

My misery will go to the darkest part of your soul and being,

It will bring your worst fears to life,

It will scar your minds thoughts and wake your inner monster,

You will be left, unable to make reality connect.

Even then, if you do escape, you will not be the same,

You'll remember my blanket of darkness,

You'll remember your pain, coming from my own agony,

And one day, you will come back to me.

I am the darkest heart of all time,

I am a deadly venom to the mind,

I am a abyss of pain and misery,

I am the greatest victim of all.

I am Insanity
