Prologue
I couldn't give her what she needed. I was so cooped up in my own world, and now that she's gone I have lost the one person in the world that made me happy. Now I'm just as bitter as I used to be.
All because I was selfish and thought we had all the time in the world, even though I knew we didn't. I just didn't want to except the fact that our happiness would eventually end.
She brightened up my whole world... and now that light that brightened up my sad miserable world has died out, and all I have left is the happy memories of what once was.
Chapter 1: The Meeting
Fiona Elenor Fox was one of the noblewomen in New Mobotropolis. Tonight was the night she would pick a suitor to wed. Fiona wasn't happy at all about it because most men she had met in the past were unpleasant and rude perverts.
While her personal handmaiden Sally helped her get in her blue dress with a sash doing u motions around it and lots of ruffles at the bottom. Her hair was spiky in the front of her face and curled down her neck and up at the ends, she also had a yellow bow in between her ears. Her red fur simply glowed in the dim light caused by the candles in the room.
"You look absolutely gorgeous in that dress m'lady," Sally said to her mistress. Sally was a chipmunk with auburn hair, blue eyes and her hair was cut short, and some of her bangs fell on her face. She had a brown maid's uniform with spaghetti straps on the shoulders, and the dress ended right at her ankles.
"Thank you, Sally, you have always been so kind to me," she spoke softly with a small smile on her face, which soon faded as she looked in her mirror and saw herself. There was a woman who was 18 and had never experienced what it was like to be a woman in this society.
Sally noticed Fiona's sudden mood change and asked, "M'lady are you alright," Sally said as she looked at her mistress. Sally could tell by Fiona's face that she was worried about the welcoming of the suitors and the ball. "Mistress I know you're worried about tonight, but I'm sure you'll find someone decent. You're beautiful, smart, and intelligent. What man wouldn't love a woman like you," she spoke encouragingly. Sally finally saw a smile upon Fiona's lips and spoke one final time. "Alright m'lady let's get going."
Fiona slowly walked towards the door with Sally by her side, her dress swiftly swaying back and forth as she walked. As they left the room and descended down the hallway decorated with armor on the sides of the hallway, a red carpet in the middle floor and a tall ceiling. They were coming upon the entrance of the castle to await the arrival of the suitors she would have to meet at tonight's ball.
They waited for 20 minutes until the guards at the front door finally opened the large double doors and allowed the suitors to finally enter. Each one was fairly handsome, but they all had certain features about them. Each one had a large luggage help by their servants.
But only one of them caught Fiona's eye. It was a green hedgehog, he had spikes going down his back, a black shirt and pants on, he had blue eyes and a pretty expressionless look on his face so you couldn't tell what he was thinking. As she stared at him he suddenly looked in her direction and smirked.
Fiona started to feel her cheeks warm up and tried to look away, as to not to show her blushing face. She had never felt this way before, so all this was new and embarrassing to her.

As he walked into the castle for the first time he was pretty impressed with the architectural design of it, really extravagant. Then he looked up to see a beautiful woman, probably the lady he and the others had come to compete for.
