Naruto's POV
The past few years I've seen what most people my age wouldn't even imagine of seeing. But to every story there's a bright side. Mine's Sakura!
Today is the big day. I asked her out a couple of days back and to my surprise she said yes, albeit convincing was required. I want to tell her how she makes me feel.
I stare at my reflection in the mirror and feel satisfied with what I'm wearing. It's time to pick her up. I leave with hope. I walk down the empty streets of Konoha to her place. Everyone's at the carnival tonight and I hear it's gonna be an amazing one.
I reach her place and ring the bell. I hear footsteps reaching and doorknob turned revealing an indescribably beautiful Sakura. She's the only reason I haven't gone insane. I'm holding on for her. I hand her the bouquet I bought earlier. She gracefully accepted it, her slender fingers making contact with mine sending a jolt of electricity as they do so.
"You look beautiful." I whispered to her ear, kissing her cheek. She blushed and made her way inside, dropped the flowers in a vase and came out grinning widely. How did I ever get so lucky to get to know you.
"Let's go!" She dragged me to the carnival stopping by stalls and eating all the food we could and enjoyed what little of today remained. We were finally reaching the end of our date and the fireworks were about to begin.
"Hey, I wanna take you somewhere." She faces me with a puppy dog face.
"But the firewo-"
"You'll get a better view where I'm taking you." I say in a serious tone. She doesn't say anything.
I hold her hand and start walking in the way of the Hokage mountain. We climb it and sit right on top of the fourth.
"The fireworks are about to start. Yay!!" She claps cheered with the view in front of her.
"There's something I wanna tell you," she turns giving me a concerned look.
"Go ahead."
"Sakura-chan, you are the best thing that ever happened to me." I started.
"I always looked up to you. I always thought you were perfect and I still do. So stop me if I'm going too far." She just nodded.
"I loved you and you already know this. But what don't know is how much I'm willing to do for you and how much I would do if given the chance.. I just wanted to confess today what I really feel and what I've always wanted to tell."
"I want to be there for you no matter how far you wanna push me away. No matter what, I'm holding on hope to live and the only way that is possible is if I let my heart out."
"Naruto, I never thought you would be this serious."
"Maybe, that's cause you haven't allowed yourself to know this side of me. You've been there through thick and thin. I know you don't share the same feelings." I wiped my left eye and felt a tear. I was crying.
"Naruto, I-"
"Don't say anything, please. I know you're not gonna accept this but I wanted to give it to you as a present. Here!" I reached my pocket and removed a necklace from it.
Sakura's POV
I saw him reach into his pocket and take out something. I saw a beautiful necklace and gave him a half smile.
"Can I put it on you?"
"Um.. yea.." Why am I stuttering?
He moved over and tied it, gave me light peck on my neck and turned to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"I don't know."
I felt my lips crash on his as he was surprised but slowly gave in. We kissed until we lost our breath.. we separated both gasping for air.
"What does this mean?" He asked innocently.
"It means I love you, too, baka!" I hit him on his head lightly earning a chuckle.
"Are you blushing?" He asked grinning.
"I'm not!" I looked away.
He cupped my face and kissed me again. As if right on cue the fireworks started. We just sat there sharing kisses.
