Seventh Grade
Althea sat in the back of English class like always. Althea was quiet, but had many friends. The bell rang and the rest of her class mates joined her in the room as they took their seats.
"Good afternoon students I'd like to introduce our new student. Roland please come introduce yourself" her teacher asked. A young boy walked in to the class room grabbing Althea's attention. She stared at Roland intensely as he walked into the classroom.
"Hi I am Roland. I just moved here from Ohio." he said as he walked to the back of the class to sit next to Althea. As Roland took his seat Althea starred at her notebook beginning to write. She could feel a pair of eyes on her. She look over to see Roland starring at her.
"Hi" she stuttered out quietly. He laughed and sat back in his seat.
"Hi there" he smiled at her in a way no guy has smiled at her before.
