We got out of the train and walked over, Hagrid leading, to the small little boats that will take us to the castle. Rose, Dominique and I found a boat that only had a small brunette girl.
"Hello" I said "Can we join you?"
"Sure" the girl smiled as we went into the boat. "I'm Kyra by the way, Kyra Hatzidopoulos!"
"Nice to meet you Kyra!" Said Rose. The boats took us up to the castle where Professor Mcgonagall was waiting.
"Hello first years and welcome to Hogwarts! In a few moments you will all be sorted into your houses just wait here until I come back!" She hurried away through the big doors, that slammed behind her.
As soon as Mcgonagall left a girl with long jet black hair came up to Rose, Dominique, Kyra and I.
"Well, well, well" she said "What everyone's saying is true, your Rose Granger-Weasley right? I'm Polly Chapman" she sneered.
"Yes i am" said Rose stiffly.
"Well little Rosey, why don't you come and hang out with us" said Polly " And stop hanging out with the mud bloods"
Everyone gasped, even Rose was speechless. But even though I was muggleborn I knew what that ment and I took a step towards Polly.
"How dare you!" I said "You have no right"
"Really and who are you?'' Sneered Polly.
"I'm Anna Thompson." I said stiffly " And a mud blood and proud" i looked around and took another step towards whilst drawing my wand.
"Back off Polly your just jealous"
A slight bit of surprisness flickered across Polly's face which was quickly covered with a scowl.
"Jealous of what? Being a mudblood? Good luck with that!" She sneered.
"No" i said calmly "Having no friends to back you up" i said simply.
"How dare you! Of course I have friends!" Said Polly sharply.
"Oh really name three" I challenged.
"Um.... er.. Liza..." Polly stammered.
" It thought so" i said turning away from Polly just to see Mcgonagall walk through the doors and say
"We're ready for you"
