"I'm home~," I said weakly once I reached my house and opened the door.
"Ah! Welcome back, brother!" A small girl yelled as she ran through the hallways at a ridiculous speed and jumped on me. I smiled and raised my arms up into the air in order to catch the girl. Catching her successfully, I brought her down to the ground on her feet carefully and petted her head.
"I'm back, Xenia. How was school?" I asked her as she grabbed my right hand and walked me through the hallway.
"It was great! I learned a lot of new things like...umm...addition! and umm...subtraction!" Xenia said while gazing up at me and thinking of things to talk about. Her absent-minded expression had certainly calmed down and relieved the stress than I had gained from school.
This was my little sister, Xenia Stealth. She was born exactly 9 years after me and her birthday was literally on the same day as me. Some people were surprised at first but after a while, it became something normal in our family. After all, everyone in the family was born in the same month, including my parents. December, it was a month where most would celebrate the upcoming of Christmas, but it was more to us than that, it was the month where we would all celebrate our birthdays.
"Ah, that's quite a lot you've learnt there, Xenia! Your brother is proud of you!" I said as I raised her up into the air and did a 360-degree spin in the hallway. She started giggling aloud and seeing this reaction coming from my little sister, it really did make me happy.
"Hohohoho, it looks like our little son is playing with his sister once again, right, honey?" A man said as he came out of the kitchen door and watched us play together. Behind him was a woman, both wearing a ring on their ring finger.
"Mother, Father, I'm back. You came home early, Father?" I said before questioning my father.
"Yeah, today my boss decided to give me a rest because of my hard work since of lately. I said that I didn't need it, but he kept on insisting so I just gave up." My father, Zachary Stealth, answered my question.
"Ah, I see, thanks for your hard work. I'll be going to my room now to take a bath. Call me if you need anything, dad, you too mum." I said as I laid Xenia on the floor once again and headed for my room.
"You be a good girl and help mum and dad, ok, Xenia?" I told my sister with a smile on my face.
"Sure!"
-In my room-
Entering my room, I immediately took off my bag from my shoulder and threw it on my bed. My bedroom wasn't much, but it was decently furnished and had everything I needed to live a comfortable life. I took off of my tie and placed it on the edge of my mirror. Afterwards, I took my school shirt, revealing another white shirt inside and jumped onto the bed beside my bag.
"Ugh~ Today was something..." I muttered softly as I recalled the events that had occurred early on today. First, Mr Harts, then a new syllabus, Gaming out of all things and lastly, the one thing that's been on my mind since school, League of Legends. What was so special about the game? It was just a mere game made for entertainment purposes, why am I so bothered about it?
As those questions wandered my mind, I decided to take a bath and freshen myself, no use fretting about something that you don't understand anything about. Opening the door into my bathroom, which was connected to my bedroom, I quickly took off my clothes and turned on the shower.
10 minutes later...
"Ah, that felt great!" Exiting the bathroom, I let out a deep breath, releasing all the stress that I've built up from the rest of the day. I walked up to my wardrobe and took out of my night clothes and quickly wore them. It was nothing too fancy, just a green shirt and black trousers.
I turned on my air conditioner and took out some my homework from my bag. No matter where you are, even in another dimension, you'll always have some sort of task handed to you that is needed to be delivered some day later."Let's see, Mr Connor with English essay and Mr George with the Maths practical exam. Should be simple enough. I should be done in 2 hours." I look at the clock. 5:30 p.m. Well then, let's get started. And so, I started to finish up my homework at a ridiculous speed. As for the English essay, ideas kept popping up in my head non-stop and there was no time for to even rest as I wrote the essay at the speed of light. Even the Maths homework was no hassle for me, I swept through it at the speed of light.
"Alright, that's everything. Time to prepare my schedule for tomorrow." I stretched my arms into the air to relief the weight on my arms. I soon took out all the books needed for tomorrow and replaced them with the unimportant books in my bag.
"Hmm...I feel like I'm missing something..." I looked once more at my timetable. At first, I saw nothing was wrong until a realisation came to me.
"Ah! I nearly forgot that there is Geography tomorrow. Alright, where are my books at?" I started searching for my books but then my hand touched something thick and heavy. It was the book that Mr Harts had given me. The guidebook for the game, League of Legends. I stared at for many seconds. Then, questions started to wander in my mind. Should I open it? Should I read it?What good will it do?
At last, the temptation got the better of me as I took the book off the desk and brought it up in front of me. Better accept it now rather than regretting it later. I opened the book, and read the contents. The first page was the introduction to the game itself. It stated everything, such as the founder of the game, being Riot Games and what kind of game it was in the first place.
"Hmm...A MOBA game? What's that?" I wondered. Then I looked at my old rack, laying there was my laptop case which was gathering up dust from just sitting there for how many months has it been? A let out a loud sigh and let the curiosity take over me before heading towards the rack and grabbed the case. I placed it on my desk opened it up for what seems like years, revealing my laptop inside.
"Long time no see, partner." This was the laptop that I had used since I was a 10 year old. It was this laptop that had peaked my interests in gaming back then until that 'incident' occurred. Ugh, every time I thought about it, it would always cause immense pain inside my head. I took my laptop out of the case and placed it neatly on my desk which was free of any books. Turning it on, I went through with all the procedures and checks after not opening it for a long time.
"Let's see, what did I want to search up again? Ah, yes, the meaning behind MOBA."
