"yes, I promise to ask him" I sigh to my friend, Rebecca. making sure my fingers are crossed behind my back. "thank you" she turns back to the front, continuing to take short notes with her purple gel pen, that is very glittery and nice looking, limited edition and isn't made anymore.
"-and on final note, we have a exam next Tuesday, so make sure to study. the results will be placed on your mid-year report" informs my math teacher, Mr Malcoms. "yes Sir" the painfully dull words seem to ring in my ears. the bell rings and i go to stand up. "I dismiss you, not the bell Miss Collins" he says. I grunt, sitting back into my seat. "you are now dismissed" I grab my bag and hurry from the classroom before the other twenty-three students pushed their way through the tiny doorframe.
I manage to weave between other students to my locker, were my best friend, Amanda, is waiting for me. "can you keep a secret?" she asks me, deadly seriousness lacing her tone even though she looks ready to burst. "yes" i say, crossing my middle finger with my forefinger in my pocket. "I like Blake" she giggles, covering her mouth with her hand. "back up, Blake Governors?" I take off my combination lock and let my locker door swing open, revealing a neat locker. I swing my bag in front of me and take out my exercise book and text book, only to replace it with more bland books. She nods, unable to hold her bursts of giggles much longer.
"please don't tell a soul, or him" she begs. "I wont tell a soul, or him." I lie, my fingers still crossed in my pocket. The poor girl thanks me, clearly she doesn't know me correctly, or believes that I have changed just because she has changed. Back in primary school we were both liars, but I was never caught, not once, but Amanda on the other hand, she was caught on a regular basis.
I zip up my galaxy coloured bag and lock my locker, following Amanda to a group of popular kids. "what are we doing?" i hiss as she starts towards Blake. " I'm asking him" she states simply. "what? no! you cant just ask him with no information about him. even if you did, first you need to know if he's single and-" "Kacy, shut up, i know him better than I know you. I know he's perfect for me, I know he's single, your just jealous!" she snaps. "fine then! don't come crawling back to me when you find out he's just desperate!" I turn on my heels, stalking away from my ex-best friend. She didn't know Blake at all, she would just end up being used like I was and all the other poor girls that believed his stupid lies.
I come to a stop outside the library, taking a deep breath, I open the doors and step in, many students were studying, finishing homework, reading, or quietly chatting amongst themselves. I chose to sit on a vacant beanbag. I open my backpack and take out my MacBook, I unlock it and type in my password, which you will never guess.
time to do some hacking.
__________
the bell rings four times, signalling that lunch is over, I pack up my things and burst through the library door before too many people try to go through the small doors. I'm lucky that I have Computer next, I can finish my business of finding out what Blake Governors game exactly is.
I swing the door open, two or three students were still leaving the Lab, but I was one of the few lucky students that got to the lab early. I head over to my normal seat and position myself so my back is facing the wall, I start to finish what I had started: my hands flying across the keyboard, often stopping to check what I was doing and to steal glances at what the rest of the class was doing, keeping open a new tab of what the class is ment to be doing.
with five minutes until the bell goes dismissing school is when I finish hacking, and I am not surprised with what I see, it backs me up and proves that I am right, just as I tough it would.
then the bell goes, we are dismissed and I walk out of the classroom, walking towards Amanda's locker to tell her I was right, when I feel something looking at me...
