I awoke with them flying around me. The small, beautiful creatures with their dazzling wings. I love dragonflies. Most people prefer butterflies but not me. My name is Victoria Rose Black. I'm 15. I have gray eyes, red hair that falls perfectly around my face to frame it. I have big lips and pale skin that I littered with freckles. I have big eyes with long eye lashes. Not to sound stuck up but I'm drop dead gorgeous. My go to out fit is a pair of wedges with a black skirt a cute colored skirt and a tight fitting jacket. I also always have on my dragonfly necklace. The animal, which where currently flying around my room, where special to me and always had held sentimental value. I was watching the creatures flying around until I was taken out of my thoughts when some one called me name. Oh yeah, today is the start of high school. That explained a lot they always show up when something important is going to happen. I almost feel like they are there to watch over and protect me, like they've done since before I was even born. With this thought I knew it was time to start my day. I manage to leave my bed and take a shower. After drying my hair and pulling on one of my normal outfits, adding a little lip gloss and mascara, I head down stairs for breakfast. As I walk into the kitchen I see nothing and no one. First day of high school and my parents don't bother even waking up. I look around the kitchen for food until I see the clock. I'm already late for the bus. I have to run to catch it and when I do I immediately slump into the first seat I see. First day off to a terrible start. As I sit back I think to myself at least the rest of the day will go better. Wrong, I was wrong it can get worse. I got lost, was late, got a detention, missed the bus, and had to walk 15 miles home. I thought today would go well because of their appearance but I guess I was wrong.
