Just wanted to say, thank you so much to @LordoftheRing_fan13 because you have actually helped me so much and inspired me to write this story. <3

ARAGORN'S POV

I jump, hearing a voice behind me. I spin around quickly.

Gandalf!

I sigh in relief and run over to hug him. He seems pleased by my show of affection and hugs me back. "Gandalf! How've you been?!" I ask, ecstatic. He chuckled jollily. "Very good, my dear Aragorn, thank you for asking! Merlin, you look just the same as one year ago when we last saw each other! so, how's Arwen?"

I am suddenly very quiet.

"Aragorn? Sorry, have I hit a soft topic...?" he asks, and I can see the apology in his eyes.

"No, it is fine, but I just... never mind. Something happened." I say nervously. Silence fills the stable apart from the occasional whinny or kick from a horse. "You can tell me, m'boy!" he says, trying to cheer me up as I am very serious. "I want to, just... not here. You never know who might be listening. Anyway! Gandalf! Why are you here!? How long will you be staying?" Excitement fills my voice as I think that I haven't seen one of my oldest friends in a year. "All in good time, my dear Aragorn!" he chuckled jovially.

"Now, I should like very much to see Lord Elrond - could you take me?" I nod vigorously. Some people might say that I am acting childish but I am so excited about Gandalf's return! I guide him up to Lord Elrond's study and knock politely three times.

"Come in!" My foster father's voice fills the air. So, turning the knob slowly, I step into the room with Gandalf close behind. "Gandalf!" Elrond does not hide his happiness. As they start to talk busily and catch up, I know it is time for me to take my leave.

I step quietly outside the study. I really want to go and see Legolas now but I know that Arwen would see. I swear she is so protective! So I decide to retreat to the Rivendell library instead. I want to read up on Mirkwood.

For some reason I know next to nothing about Legolas' home town.

I settle down in a comfy armchair to read Mirkwood: A History  while secretly wishing Legolas could be here beside me. Eventually I realise that I cannot focus as I am just thinking about the beautiful blonde elf too much. Merlin's sake,  Aragorn! You haven't even been able to have a complete conversation with him yet!

So I place the book back in its spot on the shelf and decide that I really must go to see Legolas.

Why do I shake? I question myself and I knock tentatively on Legolas' door. I am never like this normally! Legolas is turning me to jelly...

Patiently, I wait as the door opens and he pokes his gorgeous blonde head out, staring me right in the eye. "A-Aragorn?" his beautiful eyes widen. I smile slightly, hoping that it will calm him down but, as I usually do, I mess it up. He just turns even more red! It's so cute!

"Hi," I say warmly. "Can I come in? I wanted to get to know you a bit better."

"Su-sure!" he stutters. Moments later we are seated upon his soft bed. Like I was with Arwen but... this felt... different. Sweeter. Less... forced. Oh what are you saying Aragorn!? You don't even know if he likes you! He probably doesn't... negative thoughts flood my mind and I don't even notice Legolas speaking in his heavenly voice.

"So..." he stated, playing with his fingers, interlacing them repetitively. "What did you want to talk about?"

AND... that's a wrap for Chapter 3! Sorry there was no Legolas POV and it was a bit short. Next one will be longer, I promise!

So... QOTC! (Question of the chapter)

Do you think Arwen suspects something? How do you think that she will react?

Let me know!

And... don't be a silent reader! Make sure to vote, comment and share if you enjoyed!

K thx byeeee
