Micky's POV

I looked at the calendar to find that it was already the wonderful month of February. The month of both love and hate. The time for people to recreational things like outings, parties and things such as that but sadly for Timm and I, we can't do that because it is time for the senior prom. Every girl and guy at our school is just asking people out and fangirling and shit but for Timm and I, no. Not. Even. Happening. We have to plan, make phone calls, count the budgets. We didn't have time to care about prom dates and prom king and queen. Even if we wanted to, that is impossible. I bet you're wondering 'why aren't there other people helping you if it is so hard?'. It is because it is called senior prom. Emphasizing 'senior'. We are the only seniors in the student council so we asked our friends to help. At the moment, they are doing things like reserving the venue, making plans and many more yet, we are still busy.

Senior prom may seem so nice and shit but planning it is a whole different thing.

The time has come and we are finally done planning and it is the night of the prom. February 14. Valentines day. Senior prom. I was wearing a black and red dress which was tight at the top but puffy at the bottom. It had a nice bow at the back. I didn't really care anymore on what I would wear because this dress was a result of last minute cramming but I could help but feel that I still forgot something. I platted my hair into a waterfall braid and put on a little make up. I got a matching bag, filled it with the things I might need and headed to school. Why school? That's because they have a huge gymnasium where we could use for prom.

I reached the school and saw people entering. I walked inside and started checking things on my mental checklist. Phone, check. Prom plans list, check. Food, check. I still couldn't help but feel that something was missing.

"Hey."

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a certain boy.

"Hey, Justin."

"What's troubling you?"

"I honestly don't know. I can't help but feel that I've forgotten something."

"Entertainment?"

"Done."

"Your phone?"

"Done."

"A date?"

"Yep. That's what I forgot. I guess I was too wrapped up in planning that I completely forgot about a date. Hooray."

"Forgetful."

"Hey. I don't see you with a date."

"I didn't plan on bringing one. How about Timm? He seems...available."

"Yah but then things have actually gotten awkward lately. I know that we made up and shit but then he always seems too busy. He didn't even ask me once about prom except for the planning. He and I are actually just friends at the moment. We're like an on and off kind of thing. I don't really like it. What do you think he thinks about it?"

"I think that he just want to take things slow, I mean after all, you guys aren't so good with relationships at the moment."

"I guess."

"Or maybe he's just too busy. Maybe he's got something planned."

"Maybe. But what?"

"Beats me."

Soon after that, with my awkwardness skills, I have managed to make a silence from our conversation so he soon left and I was just sitting there on one of the chairs at the near back. I started using my phone. Prom isn't actually as fun as people say. I was extremely bored and I was cursing myself because I have forgotten to get a date. There were a lot of people who asked me actually but I rejected them all. It's just that I didn't really want a date to begin with because that was the least of my problems. I opened a little app on my phone with the icon of a 'W'. Yep. You guessed right. Wattpad. I started reading and reading and reading. All I ever read are cliché stories. I don't know why but that's what I've ended up reading because the other stories I have read are either finished or still updating. I was actually getting really into the book until I got a text from a certain brunette I haven't seen for the whole night.
