(Yawn) Steven: Woah! Pearl, I thought you had stopped that! Pearl: Well... I couldn't have left you alone in a strange place with strange monsters! Steven: Well, don't creep. Pearl: (Groans) OK! Steven: Where're the others? Pearl: Garnet, Amethyst, and Ms. Toriel are having a friendly talk around her chair.  Steven: Well, let's take a listen. (They join in on the conversation) Amethyst: ...And then his shield came out and saved us all! Toriel: What an interesting tale. So Steven is really magic? Garnet: No doubt. But he still has a lot to learn about his powers. Toriel: And I thought it was all a fantasy! Steven: Hey, didn't you believe me? Toriel: Oh! Steven, you're up! Well, to tell you the truth, I've never heard of a magic human before. I've heard a lot of tall tales from children before. Pearl: Well, this one is certainly not just a story. And, to clarify, Steven is not fully human. He is- Amethyst: (blurts out) Yeah, he's half gem! Pearl: Amethyst! Be polite and don't disrupt our conversation. Garnet: Chill out, guys. Tori, I heard you never let Steven finish his explanation. Toriel: Yes, I had forgotten, a lot has been going on lately. Well, let's hear it. Steven: Well, from what I've heard, gems are super magical and made of light, right, guys? Pearl: Correct. Garnet: Right. Steven: And they were colonizing planets an building super cool temples and using them to make more. (Gems keep adding on to the story and talking over each other) Toriel: Well, that was interesting. Now, if you will, hear ours. Once upon a time, humans and monsters lived in peace. But a war soon broke out. Not even a war, more of a... massacre. The humans, filled with determination, won, and sealed us underground in fear of our power. The few that remain have waited so long. But we have not lost hope.  We will be free. I know it. Pearl: Ohh... Heh heh. We uh, left out a part of our story. Our Homeworld was a bit tyrannical. They tried to colonize earth and we and our army stopped them. Our leader, Rose Quartz, eventually decided to settle down and have Steven, but at the cost of her physical form. All of her became half of Steven. And, well... See the result for yourself. Garnet: (Lifts up Steven's shirt) Toriel: What a marvel! So, Steven has powers, too? Amethyst: Yeah. Steven, show her! Steven: (Pulls out shield) Ta Da!  Toriel: Amazing! But... where is your sword? A pair should not be separated. Steven: Oh, I left it at home. I was about to go to the movies and... (gasp) LION!! Oh, Oh, Oh!!l He's still up there! Toriel: Lion? Steven: Yeah, here's a picture! (Steven rants on and on about how he's worried, and I have no idea how to end this so...)  Frisk: (Groggily) Keep it DOWN!! I'm tryna sleep... Garnet: Oh, yeah, you. Frisk, isn't it. Frisk: Yeah. Thinking: (Omg, Omg, they're monsters. Can I take them all on?) Chara: Probably not. (Who asked you?) Chara: You. (It was RHETORICAL!)  Chara: OK, OK! Steven: Frisk, why are you just standing there? Frisk: I was just daydreaming! Hard to see someone stare into space when their eyes are closed, huh? Steven: Yeah. Amethyst: Why are you being so weird, dude? Frisk: I'm not weird, I just think a lot.  Regardless, we may need to introduce ourselves. You all know my name, so what's yours? (Gems introduce themselves)  Frisk: Good. Now, what were you talking about?
