He saw me shiver, glance about in fear of the growing blackness. He smiled kindly, sadly, said, "Do not be afraid. I work best in the dark. Light doesn't do much in the light," he looked up as the black became complete, "Ah, but the dark..." He looked back at me and there came a spark, a light, a change.
