Tonight will be a special night. Tonight is the night of my sacrifice. I will sacrifice a boy to the Blue Man and I will be rewarded. Now, I just need to find the perfect specimen.

"Don't worry, my daughter. You will be back with me soon. Just hold on!"

After a long day at school, I was tired. My day had been filled with so much. We had taken three tests and I had a mountain of homework. School was such a chore. As a tenth grader life was tough. Luckily, I was almost halfway there.

As I got off the bus, I considered just sleeping right on the driveway. I knew that proposition would probably not be good for me so I just entered through the front door. When I entered, my mother was on the couch reading one of her romance novels.

My mother was a very nice woman, but she was strict and got angry easily. I guess that's what happens if you're born with red hair. As I closed the door, my mother noticed me.

"How was your day, Ethan?"

"It was fine."

Honestly, why did she have to ask that question every single time I came in? It wasn't like my answer would ever change. She seemed satisfied with the answer and went back to reading her novel. I went into my room and locked the door. I was good to be back. I grabbed my remote and turned on the news. Watching the news, was one way I remembered my father.

My father used to watch it everyday when he came home from work. We would always watch it together, and discuss it. I used to see my father every day, before he went off to war. He got drafted to go fight in Ukraine. We had recently got the news that he had perished in battle. I put that thought out of my head and looked at the news.

Today, the news guy was talking about an escaped convict. It seemed that they suspected Joseph Grant to be the culprit. He was like a modern Al Capone, only he paid his taxes. He was a man with power.

He would walk around like he owned the place. You didn't get in his way. If you did, you would be dealt with. I've watched the news countless times. There was almost always a report of a strange murder, most likely committed by Joseph Grant. Joseph's favorite way to kill people it seemed, was to drown them in their own blood. I saw that more than anything else. He was truly a madman.

Anyway, after that, I turned the news off. I flopped onto my bed and looked at my ceiling. My ceiling was covered in stars. That was my gift for my 14th birthday. I loved astronomy, my dream is to go to space and be among the stars. I would build a spaceship and maybe visit Mars. Who knows, maybe I would discover something that had never been witnessed.

Most people tell me that I would be lonely, but I doubt it. I always tell them that being alone is the best. If you're alone, you learn more about yourself. Most people don't really even know who they are. Even though, maybe knowing yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. After all, humans go insane if they are in solitary confinement for too long

"Hey, Grant. Have you found the boy yet?"

Joseph Grant was sitting down and wearing his patented white suit. He always wore it, and his smile. His eyes were a dark purple, due to the contacts he frequently wore. He also had a tattoo of an eye on his left shoulder. No one had ever seen it and lived to tell the tale.

Joseph was currently staring at a strange man. Joseph was starting to wonder why he had broken this man out of prison in the first place.

"Can't you see I'm busy? I should just murder you, you're such a nuisance."
