~Recap~

I dipped under to fix my hair quickly before stepping out of the water. As I put my shorts back on I noticed one of the houses, basically right in front of where I was, had its back light on. In all the years I've been coming here not once did I see any lights on or anything in those houses, but today the back light was on and someone was looking out at me. It was dark so I couldn't really see but he looked as if he was in his twenties. I felt awkward cause I may have been on his property so I finished putting my shorts on, picked a song, and began my run home.

Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning to someone crawling into my bed. What...The... Hell?! Who is getting in my bed and why?! After taking a few deep breathes to get my heart rate and breathing back to normal I got up the courage to roll over to see who had gotten in my bed with me. Oh thank god! It was just my brother. Wait a second. Why the hell is he in my room at 7am, ON A SATERDAY?!

"Justin. Justin, get up!" I said nudging him a bit.

"I don't wanna!" He mumbled simply turning his head away from me.

I put all my strength into one big shove and managed to push him off the bed. He hit the ground with a loud thump but didn't move.

"Hey! That wasn't very nice." He complained while rubbing his head where it hit the floor. He's an idiot when he's wasted. WAIT! Wasted?!

"Justin... what did you and the guys do last night? Don't even think about lying to me!" I stated firmly.

"We just had a party, hooked up with a couple people, the usual," he said as though it was no big deal.

"Was Tyler there?" I asked even though I was a little afraid of the answer. Tyler is my boyfriend but he is also one of the most popular guys in the school. He's probably popular because he's a jock but that popularity kind of makes him a player too. I do like him but sometimes I feel like he's only dating me because it makes sense-the popular people always date each other and Tyler and I are at the top of the food chain at our school. Tyler and Justin are very similar, meaning if Tyler was at this party he was probably hooking up with tons of girls just like Justin was.

All I got from Justin was a guilty look followed by an awkward silence... Shit. I'll just have to talk to Tyler and see what he says about the whole thing. Always go right to the source and get their side of the story before freaking out. That's all I have to do.

~Later that day~

Justin finally got over his hangover and was watching television in the living room. Tyler wasn't answering any of my calls and texts but I passed worried a couple of hours ago-now I'm just pissed. I had to just clear my mind so I decided to go for a run to my favorite spot. I got changed, told Justin I was going for a run, and left. Running has always had a way of just calming me down and helping me forget everything that's going on in my life-it helped me find peace even when my world felt as though it was collapsing.

I was almost to my spot when I saw someone coming out of the water... No, it can't be. It was the guy I had seen last night. As I got closer and closer I could see what he really looked like. He was a couple inches taller than me, maybe 5'8"-I'm only 5'3"-and he looked really ripped. Not like disgustingly muscular but he had a nice 8-pack and pretty big biceps. He also had brown hair with natural highlights. His eyes a nice ocean blue color. From the looks of it my estimation last night was right, he is probably in his young to mid twenties. He was HOT! Oh shit, he lives in that house, meaning I'm on his property right now. What if he gets mad?

"Hi." Oh my god he has the sexiest voice! I think it's British, or maybe Australian. "I'm guessing you're the same girl that was here last night," he said with a small smile. Aw, and those dimples are just adorable! I could tell I was turning red from embarrassment so I bent my head down a bit, examining the sand as if I had never seen it before, but I couldn't help but smile back.

"Yeah, look I'm really sorry. It's just that I didn't know anyone lived there and all the years I've been coming here I haven't seen anyone even near this place." I said kind of fast and really nervous.

"There is no need to explain... I actually just moved in yesterday." He kept that gorgeous smile on his face as he tried to ease my embarrassment. I wonder why he moved... oh well, I guess I'll just have to stay and find out. As that idea popped into my head a smile began to make its way onto my lips. He obviously enjoyed that because his smile got even bigger. "So what's your name?"

"Lily," I stated a little anxious.

"Lily, that's a very pretty name. I'm Nathan. It's a pleasure to meet you." With that accent I could listen to him talk all day! "Do you live around here? I don't mean to sound creepy or anything but you did run here so I was just wondering," he looked down as he said this looking a little embarrassed about how his question sounded.

"I do live around here actually. My house is on this same street, maybe seven houses away. I've never actually counted but I think it's around seven houses." Keep in mind that these houses are basically all mansions. He looked up seeming rather pleased. Is he happy I wasn't creped out or happy I live near by? Oh god, I've known him for what like ten minutes and I'm already looking into his body language to much. I checked my phone quickly and realized it was already almost 7pm so I decided to say goodbye and head home. As I was leaving I noticed he had a notebook with him and was jotting some things down while he looked into the water near the rocks.

~At home~

I was running up towards my house when I started to see a lot of flashing lights-kind of like strobe lights. I had heard music a ways back down the beach but people around here have parties all the time. Now it was official... Justin had thrown a party. I decided to let it go; he can make his own decisions. But he is probably going to annoy the hell out of me tomorrow. Does he really want to spend his last day of winter break hung over? As I walked into my very crowded house I remembered that I wanted to talk to Tyler about last night. I should at least give him a chance to explain before I freak out. Is it bad that I wouldn't be shocked if he cheated on me? I mean, he is like the second hottest guy in school, he's kind of expected to cheat on me.

After looking around the house for at least an hour I got kind of thirsty. I pushed my way into my kitchen to grab a coke before I went to look for him again, but I didn't have to look very far. I was wrong. The image in front of me shocked the hell out of me. Right in front of me, on my very own kitchen counter, Tyler was standing between a slut's legs making out with her. It wouldn't surprise me if they had sex right there in front of everyone based on their body language. She was also wearing a dress so he definitely had easy access.

There was no way I was going to listen to him now. I grabbed the coke I wanted, punched Tyler right in the jaw (and yes I did PUNCH him), and I ran back out. Hopefully Nathan won't be by the rocks still, because I really don't want him to see me cry but I have nowhere else to go.
