Guardian Angels

Chapter 1

As I walked into the store I realized I forgot my wallet at home. "Of fucking course you would do this Amelia." She storms right out of the store and bumps into a mysterious guy wearing a red and black jacket "Watch where you're going!" He shrugged his shoulders at her and continued walking. "People these days." She started speed walking back home because she knew that if she didn't hurry her mom would get really angry and might take it off on her. As she arrived home she snuck through her window in her room and grabbed her wallet and walked back to the grocery store.

As she walked back home with all the heavy bags of groceries. She opened the door and was welcomed with a beer bottle hit against the door. "Where the fuck were you missy, it's been 15 minutes. I was gonna call the cops to go look for you." "It won't happen again ma'am." Amelia mumbled as she dragged her feet to the kitchen to put the food away. As she was putting the groceries away she got a text message from her boyfriend, Elijah. "Hey can I come sneak into your room ~Elijah xx" she replied "Now is not the best time :( sorry" then she put her phone away. When she got done putting things away she went straight up to her room to listen to music and space off. As time went by, her door flew open "You've been slacking your jobs and I'm gonna start punishing you." her mom said as she walked to her bed and started taking off her belt. Amelia tried scooting back from her mom "What the hell are you doing!" she dragged by her ankle so her mom was closer to her. "Take off your pants." Amelia hesitated "I said take off your damn pants." She did as she was told and her mom hit her with the belt multiple times. Each lash that her mom gave her she felt more and more numb. Tears stung her face and her mom walked out of the room. Amelia couldn't get up because she couldn't feel anything. She just stayed there and cried, then all of a sudden she heard something "Take all of that pain and turn it into something beautiful."
