Okay so this is my first ever fan fiction on here so please don't judge. This is going to be a Divergent reality story. I know there are a lot of those but I like reading them so I figure other people do too. All rights go to Veronica Roth. None of characters belong to me. She is the real owner of Divergent. So hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1:

Tris' pov

"Beatrice, wake up!" My brother Caleb says irritably. "We're going to be late for our first day of school!"

"Stop freaking Caleb." I say rubbing my eyes and rolling over. "School doesn't start till 9.00am and its only 8.00am." Geez my brother is such a nerd. Always the teachers pet, loves school. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be related to him. Me on the other hand, I'm not exactly that exciting either but compared to Caleb I'm pretty wild. At least I make an effort to have a social life.

I drag myself out of bed and look at my reflection in the full length mirror inside my double door closet. I look a mess. My hair, a tangled, matted birds nest. My eyes haggard from lack of sleep. Okay maybe I was more worried about school than I was letting on but still that was no excuse for looking like this. I look like a zombie.

I take a shower and put a brush through my blonde hair. It's looking more tame now, flowing to my waist in a smooth sheet. I apply some mascara making my eyes standout more blue. I dig out a black dress and some leather boots to wear. The black dress dips so that my colar bone is visible where I hope to get a tattoo of three ravens some day. Some day meaning in two years for my 18th birthday.

I walk into the kitchen and slump in the chair opposite Caleb. There's a a bowl of cocoa pops sitting on the table so I pour myself some.

"Good morning Beatrice," My mother exclaims brightly.

"Mmm hmm," I respond crunching my cereal.

"You ought to get going, school starts in 30 minutes."

"Bye mum," I grab my keys and my school bag and head outside.

I open the door to my black Ferrari and slide in. Yeah I'm kinda rich. My dad works in running the government so he gets a good income, but that comes with the price of being away from our family all the time on business trips. I slam the door and start up the car listening to the steady hum of the engine. Caleb insisted on walking to school, stating that the fresh air stimulates brain activity. I roll my eyes, such a waste of a blue Porcshe sitting in our garage.

I pull up to the schools parking lot. I'm early so I get a car park right out front. Hardly anyone else is here. Good I thought I didn't want to attract attention with my car and all.

I walk into the registration office and get my timetable.

Locker No. 6

"Oh! Hey!" I say to the lady at the desk before I leave. "I think there was a mix up with my name." I hate my name, this is my chance to start a new.

"What do you need it changed to?" She asks.

"Tris, Tris Prior." Yeah I like the sound of that.

I too busy pondering this thought that I walk straight into someone.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" She gushes. "I wasn't looking where I was going! I'm such a klutz." Jeez this girl could talk, she managed to say all of this without breathing.

"It's okay," I say hoping to reassure so she would stop talking.

"Hey, I've never seen you before. You must be new. I'm Christina."

"Tris." I say loving my new name.

"Hey we have practically every class together apart from social studies and cooking." She looks closer at my schedule. "And your lockers right next to mine! Here I'll show you where it is."

"Thanks Christina," I say. Maybe making friends wouldn't be as hard as I thought.

"Call me Chris or Chrissy."

"Thanks Chris."

"No problem, follow me."

She sets off striding down the hall. My small legs have trouble keeping up with her long legs. Only now i get to examine Christina. She has dark chin length hair and tanned ski. She was tall as well. Very tall. I gave up walking behind her and just started running.

"Why are you so out of breath Tris?" She asks stopping outside a locker marked 6.

"Your kidding right? I practically had to run after you. Look at my short legs compared to yours."

"Oh right sorry. Hey look its Four! Hey Four come meet Tris!"

I look at the guy approaching us. He was tall and muscular with the same blue eyes as me. "H-hey," I stutter nervously. "I'm Tris."

"Four," he says extending his hand.

Oh god, his voice is just so deep and smooth. Too perfect. I realize I'm staring so I say, "as in the number Four?"

"It's a nickname."

His serious face tells me he'd rather not talk about how he got it or what his real name is so I just reply by saying, "cool, nice to meet you Four."

"I can't wait for you to meet the rest of the gang." Christina chirps.

Just then the bell goes and we have to get to class.
