"Master, your army is forming. It will be ready in two days."

"Excellent. Leave me now. Make sure things stay on schedule." The servant left quickly without another word. "Nothing will delay me. Nothing will go wrong this time. I will succeed," the Dark King said standing up from his desk.

He had dark hair and red eyes. He was pale after so many years in the darkness. He turned around and looked out at his growing army. Screams echoed up to him from where his soldiers stood below.

"What are we going to do if we're discovered, Master?" a voice asked from behind.

He turned to see a tall figure. He had long black hair and black wings. His brown eyes seemed almost black. "Ah, General. There's no need to wonder if we'll be discovered. We already have been."

"Master? What do you mean?" he asked questioningly.

"There is a spy in our presence. Isn't that right Myali?" he called out calmly. A tall, pale man stepped out from the shadows. He had brown hair and alert, emerald-green eyes. His ears were pointed. He was an elf. "You're getting better, but you're not good enough," he said as he snapped his fingers. Two creatures appeared out of the shadows beside Myali and grabbed his arms, holding him in place. One had an axe and the other had a mace. Both of them were made of swirling shadows.

"How long have you known?" Myali asked, only slightly surprised. He'd known about the Dark King's ability to call on shadow creatures and to create them out of pure darkness, but had never seen it.

"Do you really think you can step foot on my land without me knowing? You're a fool. Pretty soon, I'll control everything. Everyone. Nothing will happen that I won't know about," he said calmly. His blood red eyes seemed to stare through Myali and to his soul.

"Never. They'll stop you. They did before. You were defeated once before. They'll defeat you again."

The Dark King laughed, sending chills up Myali's spine.

"You really are a fool. There is one person who can stop me, and he doesn't even know who he really is. There is no stopping me this time."

"I'll stop you! I'll warn the King! He'll-"

"The King is a broken, old fool!" he spat. "He can't stop me," he said regaining his calm composure. "He gave up the only one that had the power to beat me," he said as he turned to look back at his army.

"Take him away." The shadow creatures didn't say anything, as they were not created to talk, but to obey and kill all who got in their way.

"General, oversee that he's taken care of."

"Yes, Master." The general turned and walked briskly out of the room behind the shadow creatures and Myali.

“No one can stop me. Except that fool Marcos Clade. Only…he can’t. He doesn’t even know who he is.” The Dark King laughed.

“The end is near after a hundred years. And the world shall be mine.”

They walked down the hallway, heading to the dungeon at the bottom of the.

"I have to get out of here. I have to warn-" The shadow creature on his left him with the flat of its axe.

"Shut up," the general said. "There's nothing you can do."

"We'll just see about that." Myali spun, breaking free from the grips of the shadow creatures, and grabbed the axe from one of them. He swung at the two shadow creatures and they dissolved back into shadow, taking the axe with them.

Myali spun away from the general and fled down the hallway.

"Focus," he whispered. "Focus." He looked down and saw that his body was slowly fading, becoming one with his surroundings. He smiled. He was becoming invisible. "Let's hope I can stay invisible until I reach the borders," he said as his body completely disappeared. He looked behind and him and saw the general standing in the hallway, not chasing him.

"He's not chasing me. Oh well, it'll make things easier for me." Myali looked back ahead and ran.
