Second Spell: The Spell of Love |Christopher's PoV|

I was always scared of what people will think about me. Czarvaknish is my father. He was an outlaw and many people have known and hated him. My mother and I decided not to acknowledge him and decided to have a normal life. Anyways, past is past and that is not what I want to tell you all. I want to tell you about how I fall in love with the daughter of my father’s enemy.

I was always scared to show the people how I truly feel. My mind has made a clear imagination. There were three goddesses appeared. They told me their names were Athena, Artemis, and Aphrodite. They made me choose either to have an undeniable ability or be the greatest hunter or to have a woman who will be by my side through ups and downs. I have chosen the third one. There’s where I have seen the most stunning woman I’ve ever known. She was wearing the royal family’s crest. She’s a princess and to be exact the youngest among the three princesses. My father was Czar; the enemy of their father. I am not sure if it is possible for us to be together. Our parents don't get along all too well. Is it even possible that I could get to know her? I almost thought it was impossible to happen until centuries ago.

//Flashback//

My mom and I were the Errand Runners at the castle. Last night, I have dreamed of wandering at the falls where I found three dazzling women whom latter on, I have discovered that they were the goddesses; Athena, Artemis, and Aphrodite. They offered me the best offer a human could ever have but with a great responsibility along with it. Athena offered me the gift of great intelligence and skill; Artemis offered me the gift of hunting ability – and last but never the least; Aphrodite who offered me to have a woman who will be with me forever. Obviously, I have chosen the third one. After I selected that one, she gestured the tapered stream beside me. I looked at it and there I saw a beautiful girl who’s all too familiar with me. It was Princess Catherine. I have been watching her ever since grade school. Now that we’re already at the age where we know how to use magical spells properly, I'm still head over heels in love with them.

“You’re not allowed to go anywhere!” I heard the King’s voice echoed along the halls.

“But father I can’t just let this slip! The festival’s tomorrow! My sisters will be with you, watching the colourful parade. Why can’t I go out anyways? It’s not like I will be endangered that time,” I heard her argued with her father.

“My decision’s final and you’ll be guarded tomorrow! Once you disobey me, you’ll be sent straight to Chyos!”

“But—”

“Not another word!” I soon heard sobs. Distinct voices became clearer.

“Christopher, we’re ready to go! The king let us leave today and tomorrow. We’ll be home tonight. By that time as well, you can tell me about the secret you mentioned the other day,” my mother, Annaliese, said.

“Okay mom, just let me pack my stuffs,” I told her but she stopped me.

“Already done that,” she told me. She gave my back a light tap before saying, “Another thing. We’re not coming back here again. Your father discovered that we’re working here and because of that, he’s planning to take us with him.” She paused as she takes a deep breath before speaking once more, “I don’t know what’s going on your father’s mind but I’m accurate that it’s not good.”

I know that she’s right about that. I know my father’s plan. I can read his mind. He’s after the heart of this place; La Lumière Pierre. He became a bad wizard right after the death of his family. He’s been convincing me to come with them but I refused. There’s only one thing I want and that’s to be recognize by Catherine.

The next day, before the sun could light up the skies, I went at the backdoor that I’ve seen the other day. After waiting for some hours, I saw her; Catherine. She’s wearing black cloak which was very unusual especially for today but I understand her in some way. She doesn’t want to be discovered by anyone. I just hope I’m in the exception list.
