Shay, I may have only known you for a small amount of time.

But I love the feeling that I get, when you say "You're mine."

To me it's like the dawn of an endless night.

Just how I wish that I could hold you tight...

You're beautiful to me in every way.

You brought a smile unto my life,

Without your knowledge, helped me put away my knife.

Now that I have you, I won't let you go.

Just wanted to let you know...

I promise I will try my hardest,

And out of every one, you are the hottest.

My poetry is not enough to express my love for you,

So forgive me now if my compliments are few.

If only I could see your smile,

But I know sadly, there are many miles.

Although you are so far away, I love you just the same.

If something goes wrong, I'll take the blame. 

I swear I'm dedicated to you now,

Because out of all the pretty boys, you chose me somehow.
