There are places in this world where we instantly feel comfort. Places like a warm bathtub on a frosty winter morn. Places like that quaint library situated on the side of the busy city road. Places like your childhood town, the place where you and your brother first learnt everything. Where you first broke into your dads office, where you first stole an extra cookie from Olga's tray, where you first were taught piano by your angel of a mother.
And now Federico and Violetta were grown up, jamming out in their shared car to some old rock band. They were returning back home for highschool and they couldn't be more excited, since middle school they'd been living with their auntie and uncle, only coming home for quick visits inbetween their fathers many, many business trips.
"You ready to take on the world?" Federico laughed, taking one hand off the wheel to slightly turn down the music.
"One step at a time Fede..." she laughed looking out on the trees and houses that she always loved to see. Nothing quite beats a trip back home.
They were soon rolling the car into the mansion they liked to call their first home, there father had always been successful in the business industry, that's one thing his kids always knew.
"VILU!" Olga exclaimed rushing towards her in a hurry and wrapping her arms tightly around her torso.
"Olga! I've missed you so much!" Violetta hugged her back, Olga quickly pulled away to show her the fresh chocolate cake she had made.
"Oh Olga, its beautiful! I truly have missed your chocolate cake!" Violetta exclaimed clapping her hands together, excited to demolish the cake in front of her.
"Hey, remember our deal?" Fede nudged her, she shook her head with a pout.
"No cake until I get a smoothie, I've been craving one since our last visit... please tell me Paula's is still open," Fede pleads to Ramalo who sternly shakes his head.
"There's money on the side, grab it, Paula's closed down about a year ago but the new place is just as good!" He shakes his hands above his head before yelling "be quick!" From the other room.
Their dad still was yet to show up so they just left. It was typical for them to be waiting around for him, alike to everyone else in his life. He was either late or not coming and in this instance, neither was a big possibility!
