As I sit on the hill and watch the sun rise,

I see God's creation reflected in my eyes,

But then I look beyond the pastures green,

And stare in disbelief at what I have seen.

I see the big factories with rubbish ablaze,

And simply, quietly, sit and gaze.

On the news I see pollution, destruction and government corruption,

So as I sit on the hill I ponder the fact,

That everyday people are just like that.

Even though we may not see it,

We are ruining our life,

The earth is calling out,

But we are oblivious to her strife,

Helping is simple, if we all join forces,

We can create beautiful clean, fresh land,

If we all have a go we will soon realise,

That it dosen't matter the size of your eyes,

What matters is you are seeing the trouble,

Iin amongst our perfect world bubble.

So as I sit on the hill,

Quiet and still,

I think how God wanted it to be,

And realise He handed the responsibility to me.
