The Knocking

  It was a serene, calm day, the wind was soft and it wasn't too hot nor to cold. A man named Gabriel was sitting on the couch just....relaxing. He was laid back reading a book, when suddenly he hears a knock on the door, "I wonder who that could be." He gets up and slowly starts to walk down the steps, he hears one more knock...then it went reticent. He walks to the door and opens it. All he can see is a letter with a red seal. The letter looked old and worn out, nobody used red seals now a days too." I wonder who brought this...it seems so...strange," he said. He picked up the old letter very carefully and walked inside, then he closed the door. "I wonder what it says," he said. He walks up stairs and sits on a chair, then he opens the letter........"Its blank...there's nothing written...," he says quietly. It went silent not a word could be heard....besides a soft knock.... a very soft knock that could barely be heard by human ears.... but nobody was around...but him..."....I wonder who that is... maybe somebody will be their this time..," he mumbled. He walks down stairs and opens the door, but there is nobody....and the light knocking can still be heard all around. It sounded like it was coming from everywhere yet from one place as well...it was very strange. He had no back door and yet he knew it couldn't be somebody knocking on a window.. sounded like it was a soft knock on wood. It kept going on and on, and yet there was no other place it could be...then he opened the door again.. and there was another letter. He opened the new letter, "There's only one letter on it.." The letter the man saw on the new letter was the letter H. "That's quiet strange.. only one letter on a letter...at least it's not blank like the last letter," he said. He heads inside and closes the door, then he starts to walk to the stairs. When he reaches the foot of the stairs he hears a loud knock on the small door...it was clear where it was coming from. He walks over to the door and opens it yet again. When he opens the door there is a letter.... and it was more worn out than the last one, and the seal was a dark red. He takes the letter and walks inside yet again, then he opens the letter. He reads it, and it has only one sentence on it. It says, "hello old friend, all I have to say is......goodbye to you". "How strange..... I wonder who wrote this letter," he mumbles quietly...."well I better go get some rest...and maybe figure out who sent this letter," he says to himself.....
