Paris's POV
I was sitting on my bed just listening to my parents bicker once again today. They never really fight,so it was weird to hear them. But after a while they started to settle down and everything went quite.I didn't bother to get up and look,I just sat there, doing nothing but cleaning my diamond necklace that was my grandmothers, then my mom's, then finally passed down to me.It was special to me.My dad shortly came in my room.
"Hey my sweet little girl,Are you_ ok???" My dad asked.
"I'm ok I guess," How I said that really told my dad I wasn't ok even though I didn't tell him.
He looked back down at the floor and looked back up at me.He picked up my chin.
"Everything between me and your mother is just fine,Paris. Its nothing you should be worried about."He sighed.
"From what I heard,It doesn't sound fine."I mumbled.
"...If it wasn't fine,I would've told you." He then kissed my forehead and looked me in the eyes.He then went his way out of my room and shut the door.
If I have gotten up,I just might have, might,Stopped my mother from leaving the house that night.I didn't hear her leave, she didn't say goodbye, or leave a number or Address on where see was heading too.Nothing.The next morning,We found she wasn't here no longer. My dad could've cared less but I could still hear in his voice he was upset but,I took it the hardest.Nothing mattered to me no more that my mother,my best friend, just up and left me.
