Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?. . . .

Glass is cracking,
Reflections shattering,
Mirrors are breaking,
Along with my future,
As my hopes,
And my dreams
Are washed away. . .

A palace of mirrors. . . .
A refuge,
A place of safety,
Where how you look,
How you sound,
And appearances,
Don't matter. . .

Your actions define who you are,
You look like your true self,
Who you are inside,
For life is not about finding yourself,
But creating yourself. . .

My reflection glows and shimmers,
Appearing and disappearing constantly,
For I change with the coming tide,
Who I am is replaced,
With a reincarnated soul,
I'm partially the same,
But,
Throughout their life,
Who is exactly the same,
As they once were?
Are you the same person you were when you were five years old?
When you were six?
I know I'm not.

Be happy when you want to be,
Cry when you must,
Be who you are, for you.
Be who you want to be,
Don't be something you're not for someone else,
And if you want to be happy,
Be.

But remember,
In all things the greatest beauty is simplicity. . .
Especially in a palace of mirrors.
