Chapter 1: Two Cities Plus Jack and Mark

Sydney: London! Get your butt up! We have school today!

London pulled her pillow over her head in attempts to block out her best friend as well as neighbor, and only burrowed deeper into her warm blanket.

London *muffled*: I don’t wanna! Wake me up next year.

Sydney *sighs*: I didn’t want to do this but you left me no choice.

Sydney left the room in her skull pajamas, bright red hair sticking in all directions, her blue green eyes filled with mischief, and walked to the bathroom. She grabbed a glass of water and brought it back toward where London was once again falling asleep. Giggling she poured the water over London’s head resulting in waking said girl up.

London: Gah! Sydney you ruined my pajamas! You owe me new ones!

Sydney: Please! It was just water.

London just glared at her and pushed off her covers and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She had just started when someone knocked on her door, she slid in her socks on the wood floor toward the door and quickly opened it to reveal their neghbor and friend Jack. He wore a black shirt, ripped jeans, and had his raven black hair out of his face and away from his electric blue eyes. When he saw her, he stifled a laugh and quickly changed it into a cough.

Jack: I was going to ask if you girls were ready, but apparently not. We’ll be waiting so hurry up.

London *groan*: Oh great! Everyone seems to want me to hurry up today.

Sydney: If you had woken up when I told you this wouldn’t be happening.

London: You better shut up or I’ll tell Mark your secret.

Sydney: Shutting up now.

London: Thought so.

And with that London quickly got ready. She brushed out her semi-wavy caramel hair and let her bangs fall in front of her face and put it in a high ponytail. Her bright olive green eyes shined with enthusiasm. Climbing down the steps two at the time she opened the door just as Jack was going to knock again.

Jack: Finally! I thought I was going to have to drag you down.

London: If you did you would get that face of yours messed up.

Jack just laughed at that, and pulled her were Sydney as well as Jack’s friend and their neighbor Mark stood. Mark had his brown-blonde neatly brushed compared to Jack’s messy style and his brown eyes were slightly glazed with sleep. London just about gasped when she saw Mark’s new car a bright red ferrari.

London: Mark I knew you were getting a car. But this is just plain awesome!

Mark chuckled and ruffled London’s hair playfully, she just batted his hand away.

London: Oh come on Mark. I know my hair is messy but could you refrain from getting it even worse.

With that the quartet got in his car and drove toward their school. The passing scenery made London smile after having been away from her hometown after 4 years. She was brought out of her thoughts by Sydney who nudged her with her elbow.

Sydney: You have that reminiscing smile of yours.

London: Sorry. I was just thinking about how I missed this place so much.

Sydney *scoffs*: I would take your place any day this place gets boring after a while.

London gave her a weak smile, and continued to look at the passing scenery. When Sydney and Jack heard their song on the radio and burst into song making both London and Mark laugh loudly.
