"Him." I smirk, pointing to a very slim man with glasses.
"Ew! Can't I have another guy?" my friend exclaims in disgust. Michelle can be like that a lot.
"No, you have to do him."
"There has to be loop hole here somewhere."
"No there isn't."
"You are totally going to pay."
"Boo-hoo. Now go!" I order.
She glares at me, but also smiles. The sound of the heels click on the tiles. Michelle closes in with the man and pulls a chair to his table. He looks confused as he takes his glasses off. In the distance I can hear him, "May I help you?" Quickly, Michelle looks over my way and I give her two thumbs up and a smile. She reaches for the mans cup and takes a sip of his coffee. I almost burst out laughing but I look away and pretend to clean the counter. Moments later she comes over.
"See that wasn't so bad was it?" I ask her.
She stares blankly at me with her eyes squinted, "He had dark roasted coffee. You know how disgusting that is? I mean what if he had an infection too?"
I laugh at her sudden panic.
"It's your turn!"
" I don't know Mich," I scratch my head, "I have to go back home soon."
"C'mon just this last one. I promise it wont be bad." she pleads.
I think for a minute, "Fine. But make it snappy."
"Yay! Ok so I already know what I want you to do. Its simple and nothing bad will happen."
"Just go." I pull my black apron over my head.
"There's this cute guy over there," she points to a man with brown curly hair, "I dare you to go up to him and ask for a picture together."
"Well that's easy." I sigh.
I pull out my phone and walk over to him. There's a journal on the table with him. I could hear Michelle giggling in the back. There's no consequences, or at least I hope not. As he is a couple feet away from me, he gets up and turns around. It's like he knew I was there.
"Excuse me, could I get a picture with you?"
He stares at me. His green eyes sparkle as they meet my brown ones. No expression lies on his face. "Sure." Setting up the camera on my phone, I close into him and smile. My thumb presses the button to take a picture and the flash flicks on. The aroma of his jacket bounces to my nose as he steps away from me. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it." he smiles as he leaves. I opened up the picture of us and smile. He looks adorable.
Little did I know, that picture would have changed my life forever.
