You sat on your windowsill, watching the cars pass by as the rain fell. You let out a sigh and closed your eyes.
The rain was the one thing that kept you from going insane, you were lucky it rained so often in your town.

You stood up, walking over to you kitchen to make coffee. The machine read 3:30 AM, and you clicked for the strongest brew. 'Work in 25...' You thought to yourself.
As the coffee brewed you walked to the bathroom, turning the tap onto its coldest setting. You splashed your face with the water, and brushed your teeth.
Hearing the brewer stop, you spat out your toothpaste and rinsed your mouth, walking to the machine.
Grabbing your cup, you headed to the front door, putting you jacket and shoes on.
"Here we go."

***
"Good morning y/n." Your coworker said to you.
You slightly raised your shoulders as a response, something they had gotten used to as your way of saying, "Sure is."
"Guess what day it is."

You let out a groan as you punched in and put your apron on. "Don't tell me."

"75% off everything day."

You sighed and rubbed your eyes. "Lovely."

"Isnt it?" Your coworker flashed a sarcastic grin your way, making you reluctantly smile.

You worked at a cafe, mainly as a baker. You handled the food while your partner handled the drinks. Occasionally you would switch to make the days less boring. Checking your phone, it read 4:15.
"Hey, I already got everything ready. Wake me up when the store opens."

Your partner nodded to you as you walked in the back room to rest your head on a bag of flour.

What seemed to be mere seconds pass by as your eyes fluttered open to your coworker shaking you. "Fuck, its six already?"

"Times flies when you're sleeping, y/n."

You sat yourself up, taking some time before standing. "Tell me about it."
You looked over your coworkers shoulder, seeing the door open and hearing the usual chime. The first customer came in and you soon saw more.

Walking over to the counter, you started your long day.
"Hi! How may I help you?"

***

You checked your phone; 11:45. Letting out a sigh, you looked in front of you. Nobody.
"Todays finally slowing down Nik."

"Youre lucky its a monday, y/n." Your coworked let out a small laugh and you joined along.

"College kids cant get enough of our cafe on break days still."
The door chimed and you spun around to face your customer.
"Hi! How may-"

You soon realized you were talking to a chest. The man in front of you had completely towered over you, causing you to tilt your head back to look at them.

"Oi mate, could I get a flat white and a chocolate chip muffin?" He peered at the menu beside you, scanning for anything else. He had dirty blonde hair, and was covered in soot.

"Yes of course! Is that everything?"

The man looked down at you, a grin spreading on his face. "How much for you?"

Your typical friendly face fell flat, and dead pan. "Not for sale."
The man clicked his tongue and shook his head.
You sighed. "Your name, sir?"

"Junkrat."

You laughed to yourself at the peculiar name, writing it down on a cup. "$1.25, Rat."

He gave you a sly grin, handing you the change. You quickly put it away and got started on the order. "You sure you haven't got a price?"

"Very." You finished the drink and handed it to him. "Have a lovely day."
Junkrat nodded, making his way back out the door.

"Guy hit on you?" You sighed. "Happens to everyone," Nik grinned, "take it as a compliment."

You shrugged, walking over to one if the machines to make yourself a french vanilla. "Im gonna take my break now. You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, i'll be fine, don't worry." You coworker smiled at you as you left the counter to sit at one of the booths. You took a sip of your drink, but even coffee couldn't keep you well awake. You almost fell asleep, until you heard a loud thump, causing your eyes to flutter open.

In front of you, you saw the man from earlier. His feet were resting on your table, and he smirked. "What are you drinking?"

You sighed and looked out the window. "Its a french vanilla. I hate regular coffee." You felt him keep his gaze on you, drifting around your face.

His nose crinkled. "Why's that?"

"Never caught my fancy." He was about to speak, but you cut him off. "My break is over, I need to get back to work."

You stood, slowly walking towards the register. "W-Wait!" You stopped, turning around. "Will you go on a date with me?"

"Will you stop bothering me if i do?"

"...Maybe."

"Fine."
