It wasn't like i wasn't use to the bullying or not being noticed by people, this had been happening ever since middle school. I'm the girl that keeps there head down in the back of the class and hide's in the crowd... well that is until he came in to my life. Charlie Jones was the only one who ever truly noticed me and i didn't know how to feel about it. It all started on the the day he first came to my school, the first day that anyone had every shown me kindness and it was like falling in love without even knowing what your falling in love with.

I was walking down the hall when my usual 9:00 fall in the hallway happened, every day exactly at 9:00 a bunch of football players and cheerleaders stand by my locker waiting from me to show up so that way they can sick there legs out and make me trip. sometimes if there in a good mood they don't show up but that was extremely rare. i began to gather my things when i saw a hand reach for my suicide notebook, I wanted to panic but i kept my cool.

"i think this belongs to you." said a boy in a beautiful English accent.

I quickly gathered my things and kept my head down "um thank you." i said reaching for my book.

"i'm charlie i just moved here from London, whats your name?" he asked me

" Ava." why is he talking to me, he shouldn't be seen with me.

"where are you headed miss Ava?" he asked me flashing me a cute boyish smile.

" i don't think you should be seen with me." i told him in a voice so gentle thinking he would start yelling at me.

" and whys that?"

" because if you want to fit in you don't talk to me, you talk to people like them" i told him pointing to the popular squad.

"and what makes you think i would want to join them?" he smiled at me.

"because everyone always does." i slowly started to walk away

but a hand wrapped around my arm stopping me in my spot. "well not me, maybe i don't want to get to know them, maybe i just wanna get to know you."

I was completely taken back by this. " can i ask why."

"you seem like you have an interesting story ." I looked down at my note book and then back at him, "what do you want to know."

"how about we go off campus and get some lunch."

"sounds like a date?"
"Would it be so wrong if it were?"
I looked in his eyes, "yes, I don't know who set you up to this but it's not funny." I walked around him and made my way to my locker.
" no one set me up I really do want to get to know you." He said following me.
I placed my books in order and grabbed my notebook for my next class, also making sure to tuck my private notebook in the very back of my locker.
" please just stay away from me." I closed my locker and maybe my way to the library for independent study.
