Kaira- We are one forever!!!

Kaira- the wonderful parents of Sakshi

Karthik had returned early from office one day with most of his meetings having been cancelled. He wanted to spend time at home while Naira had work at the dance academy. He was relaxing in the living room when Sakshi came home from her friend's place. On seeing her face, Karthik realised something was wrong. She did not even notice Karthik being in the room and went to her room directly. He decided to give her some time and made a cup of hot chocolate for her.

Taking it to Sakshi's room, he yanked the door open. He saw his daughter lying on the bed shivering. He was completely knocked of his senses on seeing her like that. Rushing to her side, he touched her forehead and was alarmed to realise that she was burning with fever.

"I am scared, I am scared, Sorry, Sorry" she was mumbling

"Princess, what is wrong? What are you scared of, Sakshi Beta, speak to me" Karthik said in a choked voice, keeping his daughter's head on his lap. He called Naira and asked her to come directly home . He also called the doctor home to check on his daughter.

Naira rushed home terrified. Manish and Kamya caught her near the door and asked her to relax while Naira could not stop thinking of her daughter.

The doctor came out of Sakshi's room and said "I have prescribed her medicines to keep the fever under control. But the problem seems to be something else. It seems like she has not had anything to eat from morning and seems to be scared of something,  she is just mumbling. Take care"

"Sakshi did not have anything? But she had gone to her friends place from morning Na? Why did she not have anything? Naira said still perplexed on her daughter's condition

"Should we call up her friend and ask?" Manish asked while Karthik and Naira together said "No"

"No Papa, we should not call her friend, we should trust out child and ask her first" Karthik told and said "Naira and I will speak to her first"

They went to Sakshi's room but it was locked from inside. They both knocked the door, but there was no reply. Naira went to the window and what she saw made her blood freeze. Her daughter was having a knife in her right hand and was keeping it in a position to cut her left hand.

"KAAARTHIK!!! " She screamed, " SAAAKSHI, put it down"

Karthik was horrified to see his child'act. "Saakshi, put it down please"

"I am sorry Mumma and Papa, I have let you down" Sakshi spoke ." I should not live"

"Sakshi Beta, please listen to me. You will listen to your Daadu na?" Manish cajoled.

Naira kept knocking at the door and screaming. She saw Saakshi bring the knife close to her wrist and could not take any more as she fainted.

Karthik and Manish broke the door open. Karthik ran to Sakshi and grabbed the knife from her and brought his hand up to slap Sakshi froze. It was the first time her father had raised his hand at her.

"What the hell do you think you were doing"? Karthik screamed.

Saakshi broke down and sat on the bed crying. "I am sorry Papa, I am sorry " she started sobbing and gasping for breath

Karthik could not take it. He could not bear his daughter crying. He broke down himself and hugged Sakshi tightly "I am sorry princess, Papa raised his hands and screamed at you. But how could you do what you were doing. Look at Mumma, she fainted".

"Mumma," Sakshi ran out of the room to the living rom where she saw Naira on the sofa just coming to consciousness.

"Sakshi" she shouted and saw her daughter in front of her. Cupping her face she cried " What were you doing beta? You should have killed me instead of doing that action. I would have died to lose you beta" Naira sobbed while Karthik sat beside them with tears in his eyes.
