Brainier than most

The time had come; it was my turn to die.

I've not in any way thought of death as a bad thing. Though I would have never thought of death would be like this, however, I wasn't complaining. You see in the eyes of this world, any human to any tiny insect, I was a murderer. A foul creature that just killed for sport, which to be honest, amuses me. Humans don't seem to notice the difference between them and supernatural beings like myself, by all them fan-fictions out there, I would have thought they'd be judging  people to see if they were actually human. It just seems so silly after all these years they still judge by size, something that is not as important as a killer in your neighbourhood (a.k.a. me)

Even though I wasn't  afraid of death, I wasn't looking forward to it either, I don't think any sane person would. I wasn't going to prevent death, I was just going to see where my fate lead me, and you never know, fate could be on my side...I never have believed in fate.

I know what you're thinking, I must be crazy, having the abilities to escape this. I could beat death in a heart beat and easily live for a couple more hundred years. But Instead, I don't, I relax and stay put like a dog waiting for its bone. I guess I like the idea of not knowing what was going to happen, but if it's my time to go, fair enough, I die. On the other hand if something changes and I get a chance to live, hell, you better know I'm going through with it!

Three hundred and sixteen years of living, could of been worse I suppose, but knowing I had another one hundred and eighty fours years left to go is kind of shameful if you ask me.  Be that as it may, humans hardly make it past eighty years old, and to that I pity them. Never have I once had pity on anything, but humans, they were different. There feelings and emotions radiated off them like a burning fire, it moved me in ways that I couldn't even describe, and touched me in ways that i'd never felt. I felt captivated by the way there brains worked, how they could hurt an innocent passing stranger or betray someone they once said they loved.Never the less, lets move forward to my time of dying.

I was kneeling on the ice cold floor. I have been in a building made with ash coloured stone, with a bright, white, high ceiling, along with barred windows like a prisoners cell. The room must have been huge, holding nearly the whole village inside of its dark walls, despite that, you could see the buildings age. The walls were crumbling and huge cracks were becoming more noticeable, but you could tell it would hold, for a couple more years at least. In all honesty, it was breath-taking but no human could never see the beauty, it would always be seen as a type of slaughter house to them, and I was the pig.

The tight, steel handcuffs held my arms behind my back and I gritted my teeth as I felt burning sensations from the ropes that were tied around my feet as I shuffled around. I studied the floor, wishing a black hole would emerge and take me away. And yes I know that it wasn't going to happen, i'm not exactly an idiot...At that moment a voice in my head whispered to me,

"Then why are you still here?"

My body stiffened up, it wasn't my voice, but the voice seemed close however I ignored it, and shoved the thoughts to the back of my brain. Taking a deep breath, I looked up, just to see every single pair of eyes boring into mine. I couldn't look away, my body was still, barely breathing, and all I could do was stare back.

A booming voice had broke me out of my locked gaze with the crowd as I looked up to my left to see a tall man, around 6ft 2. He had long jet black locks tied to the back of his head, his deep grey eyes held no emotion as he turned to study me. I gave him a dawning glance and then he slowly turned to face the crowd with a huge smirk painted on his uptight face.

"what you will witness today will not only be a once in a life time opportunity, but it will also blow your mind" he chimed.

The man walked behind me, his long body pacing up and down on the platform we were on. Not uttering a single word.

Silence hung in the air, and it stayed like that for what seemed like hours. The anticipation to get this over and done with was killing me, but soon enough he stopped pacing and walked up to a guy dressed in full black, holding a razor-sharp knife. The man with the now dying smirk gently  took the knife out of the guys hands, as if it was a part of him. The knife's blade glimmered in the sunlight, that was seeping from the cracks in the walls and suddenly I went into panic mode. I felt numb,  and my body was weak.

This was it.

I took a shaky breath, closed my eyes and prepared for impact for the blade that was about to slice through my veins and end my life . With super hearing I heard the blade slash through the air and then...nothing. The blade hadn't touched me, was this a joke? I fell confused and I just stayed still for a seconds thinking if he was just practising his life threatening slash.

5 seconds later.

10 more seconds.

fifteen seconds...What the hell was going on? I mean I seemed impatient, but come on, I was waiting for death.

I was about to shout when suddenly I heard a suppressed chuckle fill the whole room, echoing from every wall .I forced my eyes open to see the crowd gawking at the silver haired man who was behind me. The man stopped chuckling and circled slowly around me, then stopped abruptly in front of me. He crouched down, the knife held firmly in his right hand as he observed me. All I could do was look back at him as he reached his left hand out, grabbing my chin and moving my face to see every inch of it. He gave me a wary but terrifying smile and then choked me by shooting me a small wink.

what he did next, I just couldn't comprehend.

With inhuman speed he had took a sparkling silver key out of his trench coat pocket and unlocked my handcuffs from my wrists, and seconds after he had untied the rope from around my feet, but that wasn't what left me speechless.

One by one I could see each human turning blue in the face, there hands tearing at there neck as they choked on empty air. lumps and bumps formed all over there face which turned into red and yellow boils, there faces burning agony in their expressions. I heard each scream of torture ring through my ears. I tried to look away but their enlarged eyes popped out of their sockets, puss dripping from there now gaping holes. Their heads were swelling to the point where it looked like they were going to explode, and that exactly what happened! Skulls burst into almost nothing, splattering the walls with guts and crimson red blood.Their now lifeless bodies hitting the ground with a smack.I was mortified, I carried on watching the headless bodies hit the floor as the fluids spread across the room and flowed through the gap underneath the wooden door.

After two minutes all that lay before me were the thousands of mutilated corpses that once held life and a brain....Not one single human was alive. The silver haired man that I once thought was just an ordinary human, kind of looked like the suspect who had just murdered all of these people in cold blood. The guy who gave him the knife was even laying mangled up on the floor.

I steadily got up to my feet, feeling relief wash over me as I was still alive, but still feeling horrified by what i had just seen. I  looked down at my wrists rubbing the skin where the handcuffs had just been a few minutes ago.

"The names Cerberus Tosin".

My eyes were fixed on the silver haired man who had just introduced himself to me as Cassia Valcore; I didn't know what to think of him really. But what had occurred hadn't slipped my mind, it was all a bit extreme. I wasn't saying that this was the worst thing I had ever seen, but to say the least, it shook me up.

"Cassia Valcore" I scowled.

Cerberus wore a black trench coat that went all the way to the blood covered floor, with black trousers, a white shirt and to match, some black boots.

Cerberus took one step towards me and gradually turned so that he was now looking at the monstrosity before us. He firmly put his hand down on my shoulder.

"So was that fun or what? I did say it would blow their minds!"

Cerberus grinned still staring at the chaos he had created. I walked forwards, his hand slipping from my shoulder and back to his side.

With a quick look back I replied

 "no, no it wasn't."

And sped off through the sea of corpses and into the night.
