Jessica's P.O.V.

Hi so you guys already know my name is Jessica Banks. I am a seventeen year old werewolf attending Langwood Academy. I have wavy coffee brown hair with crystal blue eyes.

The first thing I heard as my eyelids slowly began to flutter open pulling me from my unconscious state, was the monotone beeping of my alarm clock alerting me that it was now time to get ready for my wonderful day at high school. Note the sarcasm.

Getting up I headed into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and put on some deodorant. Looking at myself in the mirror I saw the faint circles under my eyes from the lack of sleep I received last night due to a crap ton of chem homework.

Grabbing my hair brush I brushed my hair letting it hang in its natural waves down to my mid-back. Then I walked into my closet and did a 360 looking at all the clothes to decide on the perfect outfit.

I ended up choosing black leggings with a hot pink, one-sleeve, sweater, and a pair of beige heeled boots. Accessorizing this look was a pair of black flower earrings and a necklace with the opal gem in the center, my birthstone.

My make up for the day remained light and neutral. Some pink nude lip gloss, a thin amount of foundation for the circles under my eyes, and some mascara to make my crystal blue eyes pop.

Once I felt as though I was ready for the day I headed downstairs and into the kitchen. My mom was there with a mug of hot chocolate and her laptop letting me know she was already hard at work.

"Morning mama," I said pressing a kiss to her forehead.

     "Morning Jessie sleep well?"

"Not really I got stuck on those chem problems. I would have asked dad but he was still at the lab."

"Yes well don't be too hard on him they are working round the clock to find the cure for cancer."

"I know mama. Gotta get going or else I'll be late. Love you," I called behind me grabbing my own hot chocolate and heading out the door.

As I walked into school and I knew what was going to happen today. Being a werewolf there is only one thing that could get my wolf this excited. And that of course would be finding my mate as I have been trying to do for the past three years.

"Hey Jess," my best friend Courtney called to me with her mate Alex right behind her.

"Hey K, hey Alex," I called back earning a nod from Alex.

"Did you get the chem homework done?" I asked them.

"Of course I did but I'm not to sure about Alex," she said turning to him with a pointed look. He was already facing her with a look of begging and puppt dog eyes that I knew she couldn't refuse.

"Babe will you pleease help me finish it at lunch," he begged while batting his eye lashes.

"You knew I would anyway so drop the theatrics," she said pressing a light kiss to his lips.

Suddenly one of the schools notorious 'populars', Xavier Langwood came walking by ramming into my two closest friends and shooting us a glare before continuing walking.

Xavier had dirty blond hair with a tan surfer look. He was what every girl wanted but no one ever got him. Many girls made stories of how they slept with him but you could always tell when they were lying.

Most people believed he was just waiting for his mate which would be really responsible but I found it highly unlikely. I felt the same about all seven of the Langwood brothers. They had started treating me like crap when I was four. The treatment had never really left after that.

Pulling me out of my thoughts was an intoxicating smell of saltwater and peppermint. "Mate!" my wolf said. Suddenly Xavier hit the brakes and did a complete 180 and sniffed the air before heading straight for me.

"Mine," he whispered in my ear before kissing me and igniting a fiery passion in my core.

The tingles I had been told mates feel when touching erupted instantly upon contact making me let out a small moan which he responded with a much more fierce growl.

When he pulled away we were both breathless. Then a look of realization seemed to crash over him like he was realizing for the first time who his mate was.

"Holy crap! Jessica?" he seemed so startled that it was me. Not that I could blame him he had tormented me for thirteen years and here we were finding out we were mates.

Out of nowhere Xavier got down on his knees and started to beg, "I am so so sorry for the way I have treated you, had I ever suspected that you were my mate I never would have treated you like that. Will you please forgive me?"

The bell rang but the entire hallway stayed rooted to their spots ignoring the shrill ringing as they continued to watch the scene in front of them.

I was shocked. My brain wasn't comprehending this situation. Why would the Xavier Langwood be on his knees begging for my forgiveness? Oh right. I'm his mate.

After a few moments of looking into his eyes it hit me. I could ruin him with a few simple words. However staring into his waterfall blue eyes that were several shades darker than mine I knew that it would hurt me so much more than it would hurt him.

So coming to this realization I tilted his chin up with my fingers. "Of course I'll forgive you. You're my mate."

When I said this Xavier jumped up off his knees and kissed me. Hard. My eyes fluttered close and my fingers tangled themselves in his hair.

Pulling away I felt a deep scarlet blush appearing on my cheeks. Quickly casting my eyes to the ground to avoid meeting not only Xavier's eyes but also the eyes of the large crowd of people that had gathered to witness this little spectacle.

Sensing my embarrassment Xavier chuckled before leaning down and whispering in my ear, "I'll meet you at your locker this afternoon and we can go to my house to talk. Sound good?"

All I could do was nod as his glorious sent washed over me. He took a step back winking at me before walking off and heading to class.

"Holy crap!" Courtney squealed pulling me into a hug.

"I know," I giggled. "Now come on were late to French."

A/N Hey guys so first chapter! What do you think? This is my first book so it may be a little shabby. Helpful criticism is awesome but there is no need to be rude. Thanks so much for giving my book a chance.
