Prologue

' May I have your name and age? '

' Park Jimin, 21. '

The lady at the front desk typed down my name on the computer that stood in front of her.

' Mr Park, your patient is waiting for you in Ward 3, Room 374. His name is Min Yoongi, 24. His information is all in this file. '

' Thank you, Miss. '

I took the file from her. She pointed towards the left, so I marched down the hallway, fiddling with the file in my ( smol ) hands.

' Why did I take this job? ' I mentally asked myself...

• Flashback •

' Tae Tae! '

' Jiminie! '

I ran and tackled my best friend into a hug. We squeezed each other like our lives depended on it.

Taehyung and I have been best friends since our diaper ages. We know each other very well.

' I need help, man! I'm broke... '

' Oh! I recently found a job you might be interested in! '

' Jinja? What is it? '

' A job at an asylum~ ' Taehyung grinned, ' I found it on the newspaper just yesterday. '

• Present •

I massaged my forehead and sighed. ' Why did I agree to this? Oh well... there's no turning back now...'

It took around an hour to reach Ward 3. The hallways seemed as if it was a large labyrinth. ' I guess to keep the escaped patients from running lose. '

I stopped in front of a large metal door with no knob. I furrowed my eyebrows. 'How the heck am I supposed to get in? '

After a few seconds of some deep thinking, I saw a light shining from the edge of my eye. ' Bingo. '

Insert ID Card

' Shoot! ' I searched all my pockets. ' The lady didn't give me one! ' I looked through the files the lady gave me and saw a card hanging by a paper clip.

I let out a sigh of relief. I really don't want to be fired on my first day.

I huffed out a puff of breath and made my mind mentally ready for whatever will be waiting on the otherside of this door. ' You got this Jiminie. '

I inserted my ID card into the slot. I heard a click. The door opened a bit, no light's going through. I gulped. I felt shivers run down my skin.

' There's no going back now... '
