She hated her school. She honestly was upset with herself. All the popular girls made fun her. Her clothes, her makeup, her lazy eye, her scent, even her own name. Her name was Junith Bredis. For short, her few friends and family called her Junie B. It was her first year at the high school. She was determined to make this year, her year. The year she was not going to be made fun of, the year she would be the cool one. Her friend Elaine walked down the crowed hall. "Junie!" she yelled, while running and hugging her. "Hi! How was you're summer?" Junie asked. "Amazing. I met the boy of my dreams when I was in Michigan for an acedemics camp. I cannot beleive I wasted my whole summer there. Nothing to do at that camp. There was not one single pool, at a summer camp!" Elaine handed Junie a picture. "Well, anyways here is Robert." Junie looked at it and sighed. "I spent my summer with Macy and Lauren mostly. I tried calling you, your mom picked up and said you were away. But it seems that everyone met love this summer but me Elaine looked at Junie, whose eyes filled with sorrow at the picture. "Uh, enough about Robert. There are plenty fish in the sea! Also there are many males in the school. Ninth grade is the love grade." The last sentence she said will an odd voice. Junie and Elaine started to laugh. Elaine rubbed Junie's shoulder. "Now show me your schedule." Junie said. "Homeroom, music, and Latin together." she continued. "Well it's better than nothing in this10 period, 6-hour-a-day torture chamber." They were there quite early. Elaine's other friends were calling her, so she waved bye and walked over to them. Junie opened her locker, it was cleared and clean except for a writing in the back of it. There was a drawing of a heart, no names in it. Just a plain heart. Above it it read 'I love you.' She sighed. She wanted to write a name in it so badly. She didn't know what name, just a name to pretend she loved someone. Just then, it became quiet. Junie turned around slowly, it felt like all eyes were on her. Actually, the hallway was cleared because everyone went to the side of the hallways to gaze at the amazing site coming through. A new kid, at least Junie never seen him before. He looked at all the girls putting on makeup, smiling the flirty way at him. The expression on his face made it seem that he was not interested what-so-ever. He rolled his eyed at a few girls spraying themselves multiple times with perfume and running towards him like he was the prize to a race. Junie turned around, rolling her eyes at all the other girls. She felt a tap on her back. She turned slowly, who could it have been? She couldn't really imagine the boy being there. Who would want her? Frizzy-haired, cheap-mascara, weird-named Junie? But, then again, there was the boy. He was gorgeous. He had brunnette hair on the longer side, cut like a skater. He wore a electric blue shirt with jeans that actually didn't sag below the butt like the other boys. "Hey. Uhm, I'm Ian and I wanted to know if you could help me get to my homeroom. I'm new at Beccingham High." he said, kind of quiet, probably not wanting some of the girls to hear his voice and fantasize over it. "You're going to have to help me too. My first year in the high school." Junie replied. "Well, I guess we will take a walk to find it then." His voice was something to fantasize about. Not too deep, not to high. Chances were, this was not going to be her love. They started down the hallway. "My name's Junith. But call me Junie." "Ok." he replied. It was akward. "So you're my first friend at Beccington." Ian said with a smile. "I feel very special then." Junie said. They both chuckled. Junie peeked over and saw his schedule. His homeroom was right next to them. He waved and walked away. Her first real guy friend walked away. & That was the first day.
The 180 days passed by. Before they knew it summer came. They had a summer love.
They were boyfriend and girlfriend until they graduated and went their seperate ways for college.
7 years later...
Most people in their class graduated college. Junie and Ian met back up again. Ian was getting married with a tight bun in the hair woman. She was stuck up, and gave Junie dirty looks. Ian invited Junie to the wedding. Ever since, Junie and Ian got coffee together every week on Sundays.
Wedding Day...
Junie came in right during the i do's. Before Ian said yes to 'Miss Stuck-Up', he looked out into the crowd. Saw the Junie he knew from 7 and a half years ago. He whispered "So you're my first friend." "Honey? Say I do!" said stuck up. "I do...not" He said. He ran to Junie and they kissed. Just then,he got down on one knee.
