Escaped (pilot AU)

Starting note- this is an alternative path where artsy in kamikaze kraze (I hope that's the spelling) instead of killing daggerbot managed to overwrite his Commands and escape with him.

I'll probably put in the comments what kamikaze kraze was so you can all understand so no ones confused :)

Daggers P.O.V

He has finally done it. He beat the champion DX001. No one had ever gotten this far alive but here he was, sword to the champions neck ready to deliver the final fatal blow. The crowd was screaming cladiate and for him to kill him. It would be easy all he had to do was push and the bot would be instantly decapitated. It would be that simple and he would be able to walk out free with the title and money, so why was he hesitating.

The hand he held his blade in shook violently. He gripped the swords hilt tightly so not to loose grip. He knew how artman worked by watching the "show" often, if he leaves one opportunity for artman to attack he's done for. He kept trying to force himself to push the blade deep into artman's neck but he couldn't push himself.

Dagger finally sighed lowering the blade form DX001's neck. The bot responded immediately by rubbing his neck where the blade previously was. "Look...I don't need to kill you to prove my worth.." dagger said in a somewhat saddened tone. Artman just stood there confused as dagger let his hand loose and the blade to fall on the ground with a clank.

Dagger turned his back. He was distracted now. Artman gave a small smirk as he slowly picked up the blade without making noise. "Artman, we should both escape these gladiator battles. They do more harm than entertainment" dagger said looking at the crowd. He got confused as there cheers escalated when he turned his back.

Dagger finally realised the mistake he made. He quickly turned around to see artman approach him with his own blade in his hand. Dagger backed up a bit as artman pointed the blade at him "w-woah artman...!! Calm! I'm here to save the both of us!!" Dagger said stuttering a bit at his words. Artman seemed unfazed as he approached closer. "Look I understand, your probably one of those bots who got forced into the contest by your creator! You don't have to do this! What good is this doing..!?".

Artman's P.O.V

Artman paused a bit, he swore he could hear a very faint buzzing in his head. No matter. Nothing mattered to him more than pleasing his mother. That's all he was programmed for to fight and kill to win his mothers affection. He approached the terrified bot more causing the bot to back away more.

"think about this kid!!! Your creator is Sherlina right!? This is probably the wrong thing to say but she doesn't care about you! If she did why would she put her own kid in a gladiator battle where it's kill or be killed? Why would she take your prize money? And most of all why would she not give you an AI?"

Artman just stood there. He didn't approach any further but he just stared at the bot who was now backed into the wall. What did mean by an AI? What was an AI? and what did he mean he didn't have one. Then he thought more into it. Is this why he acted so emotionless and cold towards others? Because he didn't have this "AI"?

Daggers P.O.V

Dagger looked up seeing artsy was just standing in place looking at him. He had dropped the sword which dagger quickly kicked into the far corner so there was no way artman could get it without the run and by then he'd be gone. Even though he kicked the sword away artman still just stood there. The crowd where getting more and more reckless booing and yelling "just kill him!!". Dagger knew it was only a matter of time until they called out more bots to attack. He only had so little time to convince him to come or else he'd be left to be destroyed.

Dagger knew he had no choice. He grabbed artman's wrist with an clamp like grip which caused artman to snap out of his state. "Look kid you'll thank me late just come on!" Dagger quickly broke the door down that held them in the ring and ran out grabbing artman's hand. He could hear them being chased from behind. "In here!!" Dagger ran deep into the woods still grabbing artman's hand and then pushed him into a secret lab and locked the door.

Dagger quickly locked the door behind them and slumped on the ground. "Welp...they shouldn't find us for a while kid" dagger said letting out an exhausted sigh. He saw artman just looking down at him confused clearly about what he said earlier. Dagger knew what he wanted and stood up. "Ok kid um I'm daggerbot but please call me jax for short" dagger gave him a small smile holding his hand out for artman to shake.

Artman just stared at his hand for an awkward three minutes. Dagger eventually pulled his hand away. "Man...she really did fuck with you...you really don't have an AI do you? Hell you probably don't know what that is..anywho it's late and I think we both have enough of abandoning creators for one day" dagger let out a cocky smile. "I'll just call ya artsy and we can both hit the sack for tonight how does that sound?"

Artsy let out a small nod and before dagger knew it artsy fell flat on his face on the floor and fell asleep.

Wowie I made this when watching dah stream! And I was thinking maybe this would be a cool idea??
