__"Luca," I say looking at him through the mirror. "The least of your concerns should be me. Focus on yourself and that girl."
"That girl has a name," he says smirking.
"Okay focus on Sophia," I say facing him.
I walk over to him and kiss him on the cheek before walking past him.
"Abraham is here," he says stopping me dead in my tracks. "He brought some guy with him. Says I could use him and from what I've seen, he's exactly what I've been looking for."
"Then good," I say turning around. "Why're you telling me?"
"I want him for you," he says walking over towards me. "He would make a good bodyguard."
"I don't need a bodyguard, Luc," I say. "That is something you, dad, and everyone else in this house needs. Give him to Sophia."
"She has enough, not to mention me as well. It's you I'm worried about," he says with concern in his voice.
"Well don't," I say finally walking down the stairs.
A sound from up the stairs distracts me and I end up nearly falling down the stairs until a muscular arms slides towards my waist, securing me.
"Watch where you're going," a familiar voice says from further away.
"Abraham," I say sighing.
I release myself from the hold and only then do I realize that Abraham's hands are both by his side and not holding me at all.
I travel to the face that the hands holding me belonged to.
Strong jaws.
A very strong jaw.
Muscular from his biceps.
And..
Holy sh-t.
He was handsome. Absolutely handsome. From his height, to his build, to his face, everything just seemed perfect.
"Thank you," I say staring him in the eyes.
His eyes look past me and up the stairs.
"Luc," I say without turning around.
"It seems you two have already met," he says walking down the stairs. "Thank you, Abraham. He's perfect for Jess."
Abraham only nods.
"Is Giovanni around?" He asks. "I brought something for him as well and your mother," he says pointing at me. "Is she around?"
"Upstairs," I say coming down the stairs. "It was great seeing you, Abraham."
I walk into the large kitchen and feel a presence behind me.
"Luc?" I say not bothering to turn around. "The last thing I need is for you to-" I turn around at the silence and see it's not Luc but the bodyguard.
"Oh, hi," I say my hands getting sweaty. "I'm Jessica."
He nods.
I take my hands back and sit down on a chair. "So what's your name then?"
"Lorenzo," he says with no emotion in his voice.
"Okay," I say accepting the silence.
"So you're the daughter of Giovanni Bianchi," he asks.
"Yes," I say nodding. "My father isn't at all like-"
"Was your mother the dead love of his life or the rebound he married?"
My mouth hangs open.
"Excuse me?" I ask.
"Which is your mother?" He asks again as if what he just said was completely normal.
"That's none of your d-mn business," I say sternly. "What the h-ll is wrong with you?!"
"I assume the rebound then," he says beginning to walk away.
I stand up mad and follow him into the living room.
"Excuse me, you cannot just say something like that and expect me not to say anything back," I say getting him to face me.
"Wow," I say noticing how extremely buff he is.
"Typical women," he says staring at my hand.
"What the f-ck does that mean?" I ask removing my hand.
"You're just like any other woman, men are your weakness."

"Okay listen to me and listen to me well," she says her eyes turning a shade darker. "If you believe I'm your typical woman then you've got another thing coming-""Then what are you, Jessica Bianchi?" I asks crossing my hands over my chest.
"I am a force you do not want to mess with," she says staring me in the eyes. "I've never been one to allow a guy to walk all over me and it won't start with someone like you."
"Someone like me?" I ask raising and eyebrow. "What does that mean?"
She rolls her eyes and walks past me.
This time I grab her by her hand and spin her around.
Without knowing what else to do, I kiss her.
Hard.
