Sabrinas POV

"Sabrina honey, wake up." i heard my mom whisper while shaking me. My eyes fluttered open, seeing the bright lights above me. I groaned and moved my hand, shielding my eyes from the light. "Mom, why in the world are you waking me up this early?" I asked. "Because you need to get up, it's your first day at your new job today, remember?" she said. I quickly shot up out of my bed and looked around. "I totally forgot about that, thanks for waking me up." I thanked my mom and smiled. "No problem honey, just try and remember next time." she said, kissing my for head before walking out of my room. Once I heard my door shut I walked into my bathroom and started the shower. I recently got a job at Starbucks and today was my first day. I know it seems silly, but i've always wanted to work there for some reason. I stripped off my clothes and hopped in the shower. I let the warm water run down my body, relaxing me. So...I should probably introduce my self now.

My names Sabrina Martinez. I'm 18 years old. I live with my mom and my younger brother, Jaiden. My dad passed away when I was 16 and i've helped my mom with everything since then. Jaiden is 6 years old so he listens pretty well. My best friend's name is Ashlynn and i've known her since I was 8, she's been with me through everything. So, that's all you need to know for now.

I hopped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my freezing body. I walked into my room and through on my outfit. I brushed my hair before throwing it up into a ponytail. I slipped on a pair of black converse before walking out of my room. I ran down the stairs and walked straight into the kitchen. I saw my mom sitting at the table, sipping her coffee and reading the paper. "Mom, what time do you think you'll be home tonight?" I asked her while pouring some cereal into a bowl. I grabbed a spoon and sat down at the table with her. "Late again, I'm sorry honey, I know you want me to be home earlier but i need to do all i can to provide for your brother, you and I. Trust me I really don't want to be out late every night but it's not my choice." she said, looking at me sympathetically. I sighed, "It's fine mom, I understand." I stood up and put my now, empty bowl in the sink and walked over and kissed my moms cheek while pulling her into a hug. "I have to get going so i'm not late. I'll be home in time for jaiden. Bye love you." I said before walking out the door.

I started walking down the road when I felt my phone vibrating in my back pocket. I whipped it out and saw that it was just Ashlynn calling me. "Hello?" I said, answering the phone. "Hey, what's up?" she asked. "Nothing, just walking to work. Mom's gonna be out late again tonight. Wanna come over?" I asked, hoping she would say yes. "I would but Brice asked me to go to this party with him tonight and I promised him I would, sorry." she replied. Brice is her boyfriend, I don't really like him but I put up with him because I know how much Ashlynn likes him. "Oh, that's fine. I'll talk to you later, I'm walking up to work, OK?" I said. "Alright bye girly, talk to you later. Good luck!" she said before hanging up. I sighed, slipping my phone into my back pocket and walked into the doors of Starbucks, my new job.

I walked up to the counter and saw a girl who looked about my age standing there. "Hi, what can I get you?" she asked, not looking up. "Hi, my names Sabrina. I was hired last Sunday...today's my supposed to be my first day." I said. Her head snapped up and she smiled politely at me. "Oh so your Sabrina! I was expecting you, my names Alyssa." she said happily, holding out her hand. I smiled and shook her hand. "So what should I do?" I asked. "Well," she said, looking down at her watch. "Your starting right now and my shifts about to end so you'll be here for about 2-3 hours, then our next employee, Amanda will be here. But anyway, all you have to do is stand here, take people's orders and write their names before handing them their cup. Easy right?" she said, smiling. "Sounds like it." I replied, smiling back. "OK, well good luck. I have to get going but I'll see you on Wednesday k?" she said, while hanging up her apron. "OK." I said and walked up to the counter. I watched Alyssa walk out the door and took a deep breath. I sat there, waiting for my first customer. I was flipping through a magazine when I heard a little bell go off, signaling that someone entered the cafe. I looked up and saw a fairly attractive guy walk up."Hi what can I get you today?" I asked politely. "Iced caramel Macciato." He said and I noticed he had a thick Irish accent. "OK, what's your name?" I asked, smiling at the handsome boy. "Niall" he said and smiled. "OK, your order will be ready soon." I said. "Thank you." he said and smiled. After about 5 minutes this 'Niall' guys order was ready. I looked up and saw him sitting at a table, on his phone. Instead of writing his name I wrote "Your hot" with my number by it, smirked. Hey, you never know he might call. "Niall" I called out. I saw him look up from his phone and smile. He put his phone up and started walking over here. I handed him his drink and saw him look down at it. He smirked, "So are you." he said. He walked out with a wink, leaving me hoping he would call.
