It was a warm June day. May was wearing a light blue dress, looking for her pearl necklace which she had taken off after the night out. She didn't remember a lot about last night.

Someone rang the doorbell. She got up to open the door, but while she got there Sam was already by the door. He opened the door slightly when the door was slammed open. A man, which May at first didn't recognize stepped in the house. The man hit Sam on the side of his face. Sam was in shock, May was too, she stood there watching what was happening helplessly and then she screamed. It didn't bother Richard, the man who attacked Sam, he hit again, this time stronger and Sam, the old man he was, collapsed on the floor. Richard got on his knees and hit Sam repeatedly. Tears were running down Mays' face. She didn't know what to do, she ran to the man and tried to pull him away from Sam, but she was too weak. Sam wasn't moving, drops of blood were splattered everywhere

May couldn't stop the man, so she decided to call for help. While running upstairs she looked back and it was the last time she saw Sam alive. Safe, locked in her room, she called 911. The rescue service came soon, but the man had run away. Sam was dead. May was left alone and devastated.

Soon after the funeral took place. I was quiet, with only the closest of people. May didn't want lots of people accompanying her on the last time she can see Sam. When she left the cemetery many paparazzi were standing by the gates, but they didn't take any photos, they just stood there, out of respect they didn't take any pictures their bosses had asked for.

Sam had left a huge heritage for May because he didn't have anyone else, his parents had died a long time ago, he was an only child, and he didn't have children of his own. The beautiful New York apartment and California Mansion plus the massive amount of money all belonged to May.
