Chapter 1: Obsessions

I was just a pup when my Pa' told me. He told me of his adventures in and outside of Nome. He would take me to his boat on the beach and tell me stories. I would sit and listen, my far to big ears pricked up in excitement. He told me of wolves and of my brothers and sisters. But everytime he mentioned Kodi or Aleu, my excitement would fade, I was not strong like my brother and I didn't even look 'wolf' like my sister. How could I be part of my family when they were all so... Amazing?
I wanted to be like them! So soon I began trying to pull milk crates along... No use! 'Kiari the Loser' that would be on my grave, but some how everytime I gave up, my curiosity got the better of me! So I kept on trying new things like goat herding (FAIL), Messenger-ing (FAIL) and helping the disabled (TOTAL FAIL)!!!
I became obsessed with trying to be the best at everything! Soon I was an adult and my owner, Poppy, went to college, that meant more alone time. My mom reckoned I should've found suitable mate by then! But hey.
