"Please settle down, settle down now", as the Principal urged his students. Alex Gregull was a sophmore this year. Little did she know she was going to witness horrible things in her life. Then came James Samson, also a sophmore. Alex had a crush on James, but James kept dating other girls, they were still best friends. Alex lives with another four family members. First of all, her brother, Bodhie Gregull, an eighth grader. Jessie and Zach, her parents, who were both accountants for a business called East Glow. Otherwise that they lived in Maine.
Alex also lived with her grandmother, Macy Langs. Macy was a widow for 8 years. Macy never spoke of Tom, her spouse, but when she did she mentioned only the good times. Alex always pondered what had happened to her grandfather, Tom. Tom had been reported missing for a week, later two weeks, and then news came that he had been killed.
Alex had just moved to Maine 4 months ago, and didn't have any friends besides her cousins. Today was Monday, August twenty-seventh, the first day of school. As many sophomores were exited for school, Alex was not. Until Alex met James Samson. James was on the baseball team, and his father was stationed in Africa in the Army, so he lived with his mother. James was a handsome guy. He had blonde hair with shades of black, and brown eyes, just a normal american teen.
As Alex was heading to her class, a guy, named George Clen came up to Alex and introduced himself. Alex thought George was nice and charismatic. From the first day to the last day of school he had always said "hi" or had waved to Alex. Alex was in for a surprise at Northbirch High School. And as the new girl, everything would fall apart.
