Snape

I was walking through the quiet halls of Hogwarts. Today was the day everyone went to Hogsmeade, so the castle was practically empty. My footsteps echoed off the floors as I stalked to my office. I walked by one of the windows, glancing through it before continuing on.

Then I froze. I backtracked, and looked out the window again. There was a group of Slytherins outside surrounding a familiar person. I frowned, something good wasn't happening. Then the person was flipped upside down by a blonde Slytherin whom I identified as Draco Malfoy.

Their robes fell past their head, and their tanned legs were exposed. I felt my face pale even more, and a feeling of dread overcame me. I turned on my heels and ran. I ran as fast as I could towards the exit. I had to get there in time.

I sprinted around the corner. Suddenly I collided with two people. With a surprised yelp, we all landed in a heap. I looked up, and found myself coincidentally with the cousins of the victim outside right now.

"Why are you running, Severus?" Lucas asked me with raised eyebrows.

"You never run. What's got your tog-robes in a twist?" Fred corrected himself hastily.

I ignored the slip up, and pulled the two to their feet,"Follow me. Quickly!"

They both frowned, but followed me as I sprinted out of the castle. I hoped I wasn't too late. I stumbled down the steps of the castle, scrambling through my robes. I cursed them in my head, and ran breathlessly towards where I saw the group last.

When I finally got close, I heard the laughter. I heard the sneers, and snide remarks that I heard in my past. The jeers, and snickers, but I didn't hear any protest. I remember every detail, and this one was missing. The student wasn't saying a word, something was even more wrong.

I stopped to catch my breath as I took in the scene. A group of students from my house were surrounding another student from my house. That particular student was motionless as he lay in a puddle of what smelled like vomit. My nose wrinkled at the vile smell.

My face fell when I saw I was too late. I couldn't see the students face because his robes defied gravity at his waist. The boy's trousers were in a heap to the side, revealing his bare bottom half. Of all the students around him, none came to the unconscious boy's defense.

Anger overtook me and the usual sneer appeared onto my face. Loathing filled my entire being for this situation, and if any of my students turned around right now, it would be in their best interest to run. A harsh breath came from behind me and I realized I had stopped walking in shock. I forgot I was leading the student's two cousins to him.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?" Fred's voice thundered, surprising me.

I didn't think that he had it in him. Fred was always the cheerful one out of the two, Lucas was usually the more cautious and defensive one of Mr. Jackson. Both young men pushed themselves in front of me to face the offenders who had frozen in shock.

Mr. Malfoy had stumbled backwards, hiding his wand behind his back. Pansy, Blaise, Goyle, and Crabbe were instantly beside their leader, supporting him from the furious duo. The rest of the group started to scatter, but were somehow prevented.

A soft glow appeared around the two men. Fred's face had darkened from the usual sunshine it held, and his eyes were as hard as rain. Lucas held an icy cold glare, and his jaw and fists were clenched so tight that color had appeared where his muscles strained. The atmosphere around both of them had become so dangerous, most of the students had dropped to the ground in fear.
