"Macy, we are going home today. Gigi is home to look after us"Maya sighed while rubbing her hands through her golden hair.

"Hey Maya? Have you ever thought of getting emancipated?"

"Farkle, what the hell does emancipated mean"Maya sighed while plopping in his bed. Macy gasped at her language and walked back to Ava's room.

"Well basically it's just permission to live by yourself under the age of 18."

Maya nodded while packing her stuff. She then put her head down and sighed. "Farkle, are you gonna leave me?"

"What? Maya whee are you getting this from?"Farkle defended while crossing his arms. Maya sighed and shrugged.

"Right now, you and Macy are all I have. I'm scared that you are gonna leave us. My whole life, I was pushed away by anybody who I came in contact with. It was hard, you would have thought that I would have been used to it by now. After my dad l-"

"Maya you don't have to continue"Farkle cut her off.

"After my dad left, my mom made a promise to me that she'll never leave, and guess what she did. She left me"

"Maya, I th-"

"Farkle, I wonder when I'm gonna find my happiness? Do you think something good will happen for me? For us?"Maya asked referring to Macy.

"Am I interrupting something?"Riley asked slowly walking into the room. Maya wiped her tears looking up the smiling brunette.

"Yes"Maya replied harshly.

"You were just nice to me? Why a sudden change?"Riley questioned. Maya stood up snatching her jacket from Farkle.

"Leave me alone smiley"Maya mumbled. "Come on Macy. We are leaving"

Macy nodded following behind Maya and waving both Farkle and Ava goodbye. Gigi, there young aunt was waiting outside applying lipgloss to her lips.

"My poor baby's"Gigi poured as they all poured in the car. Maya remained quiet as Gigi took off in the car.

The next day they had school. Soon everybody knew that Maya's mom had passed. As she slowly walked down the hall hand in hand with Lucas.

"Maya I'm sorry I swear I didn't know"Lucas apologized again. Maya nodded arriving at her locker.

She read the 'sorry for your lost' signs on her door before tearing it down and leaving it on the floor. She opened her locking tossing her stuff in.

"Did you like t- well I guess not"Riley frowned.

"Are you serious princess? I trusted you with my secret and you blabbed it to the whole school."Maya snapped.

"Woah Maya, Riley was trying to be a nice friend"Lucas interjected.

"Lucas stay out of it"

"Maya chill"Farkle said looking at her with a look in his eyes. The look he'd always give to her when he was 'disappointed' in her.

Maya's eyes then softened as she slammed her locker shut hurrying outside. She knew at one point Farkle would be done with her. Pacing back and forth she had a couple of minutes before the first bell rung.

"Maya?"Riley asked.

"Riley please just leave me alone"Maya sighed.

"I'm sorry Maya, but I can't do that. You're my friend. I want to help you. I need to help you"

"We aren't friends Riley! We'll never be friends. Don't you see the difference between us? You don't want me, I'll just be a weight added on to you. No wonder Lucas wants you"Maya sighed placing herself on the bench.

Riley felt guilty sitting next to Maya.

"You won't be a weight. I can see past you. Your not a rebel who you put on to be. Maya let me be your friend"Riley begged.

Maya shook her head before getting up and walking away.
